Lastnight i had to run a quick arrand a certain ‘Drug Mart’. I found what i needed in a matter of seconds, and got in line just as quickly. I’d have been out the door and on my way back home just as quick if it hadn’t been for the bag of shit in front of me who spent 15 FUCKING MINUTES checking lottery tickets. How many did you have anyway, ten thousand? If that wasn’t bad enough, with your whopping $7 winnings, what do you do? Fucking buy more tickets and take up another 5 minutes of everyone else’s time waiting behind you!!! At that point buddy i just wanted to knock your two remaining teeth out. What, you think you’re gonna win big? HA. All you’re doing is pissing off the world and taking up valuable time and space. Take your $7 and buy some soap, you’ve obviously been without for quite some time.
And what’s with the ONE cash being open?? Can’t this company afford to pay one more cashier on a Sunday night??

hahahayou think THAT’s bad?? try having 5 of those bastards in a row! I swear they save up their tickets for like 2 months and co-ordinate their attacks on unsuspecting cashiers! …And then you end up with a lineup of about 15-20 overly disgruntled people who glare at you even though you both know it’s not {y}our fault that you had to wait!
the casino doesnt have anywhere to play lottery, cash tickets or play any lottery. Machines and cards are the only thing for gambling.The cashier was within her right to tell the person to use the thing that checks the tickets for them. Most cashiers do not seem to do that for some reason. I dont mind waiting behind someone playing them…. i play 20-40 proline tickets at a time. That is something that requires the cashier, but checking them? The little orange thing beside with the ALC sticker works just as well.
Lottery = Stupid Tax
I get so mad when I’m at the grocery store and I need customer service for something quick like a rain check, but have to wait for 20 minutes for a bunch of people to buy and check lottery. There are lottery booths that do nothing but that! Go to one of those if you have a handful of tickets to check, that’s what they’re around for.
When I find myself in that position I drop whatever I have at the counter and go somewhere else. A little inconvenient but god knows how long they’re going to sit there ‘playing their numbers’.
This is the same thing as the bus-related post the other day, where the driver wouldn’t tell someone who was blocking the aisle to move back: in situations like OP’s, the cashier should be telling people to check their own tickets, because he or she has customers in line. Or here’s another one: you get held up for a lengthy period of time at the checkout at the grocery store, because some fool has decided, while the cashier is ringing in their merchandise, that they forgot something. So the leave the checkout to go find it, and meanwhile the rest of us are standing here, and the cashier is standing here, and oh boy is that ridiculous. The cashier should tell the customer to pay for what they have here, and then they can go back and get more stuff. If customer is unwilling to do that, cashier should void the entire sale and take the next customer in line. But the cashiers don’t do what they should in these situations, just like the bus drivers don’t. I’m not sure why. My gut reaction is they’re scared of reprisals, but honestly I think they’re just too damned lazy and apathetic.
People call me apathetic all the time. But I don’t give a shit.(At least I think they’re saying “apathetic.” Hmmm.)
