To all the girls who think saying the word “like” 5 times in a sentence is the way people talk..you’re wrong. You sound like a stupid idiot. It’s not “cute”, or a “bad habit”, it just makes you sound stupid. Talk like a normal person.

Chill out, it’s just a filler word that young people use when they haven’t learned how to articulate themselves yet. You probably do the same thing with “um” or “uh”.

Yeah you’re right, not only young people use filler words. But I was talking about “like” specifically, which seems to be exclusive to young girls.
yeah, i will agree in that one,and how about the axing me to do someing, shit.that just makes me want to hurl.get a fucking life,valley doll losers, it’s been 40 years since that movie,like you know that.
Using “like” only bugs me when it’s accompanied with “OMG!” in repetition.

and then there’s that other filler word “basically”
m.j., yeah, you are right, it was. but the fact remains that like to much of that, like bullshit ie ,like still around. god damn, give me an aspirin.that word and a few others are really overworked and overused,why is that? is it because to many ae texting and don’t really know how to talk to each othere, face to face?like it not, like is still, like around, yuk.
