The bicycle lane is NOT an inside passing lane for drivers. Last time I checked it was against the law to pass on the inside lane under ANY circumstance.

Right OP, but maybe cyclists should start following the rules themselves if they want to preach; for example it’s against the law to go through red lights…or travel the wrong way down a one way street…just because you’re on a bike! I could go on.
If cyclists want more respect, they should probably try earning it first.

In my experience, most cyclists do follow the rules of the road and most drivers do not. I see drivers fail to stop for red lights, stop signs and cross walks constantly, travel above the speed limit, pass on the inside, etc. etc.
For every cyclist you see failing to signal, run a red, or whatever, there’s probably at least 100 drivers doing the exact same fucking thing. Maybe everyone needs to learn the rules of the road.
how did this get shifted to cyclists??? it’s about using their bike lane to get around someone who is likely holding up traffic while trying to turn left in a single-lane environment.
Then there are drivers who double park in the bicycle lane and can’t understand why this cyclist would be honking her horn at them as she’s forced to pass them in the vehicle lane!
As soon as the shithead cyclists get off the fucking sidewalks – in the meantime enjoy sucking down the carbon monoxide shitfucktwatbags, pedal that up your dirt chute!!
How about making it fair across the board: require drivers and cyclists to have licenses to use roads, and require mandatory retesting. There are a lot of morons out there behind the handlebars and steering wheel.
In this chronically politically-correct burg we live in, bicyclists have convinced our foolish council to remove parts of already overloaded and inadequate travel lanes and designate them as bike lanes for the 3 people who actually use bicycles to get around. Car and trucks are the natural masters of the roadways and the reason they exist. Bicycles, being an inferior form of transport, must learn to yield when the natural order asserts itself.
I’m not a driver; I’m a pedestrian…and it’s cyclists disobeying the rules who have come closer to hitting me than any car driver has. Couriers are the worst; most of you drive like lunatics…your sense of entitlement on the road is digusting.
If all the drivers on the roads weren’t all driving one person to a car there would be room for everyone.
On your way to work tomorrow count how many single occupant vehicles there are on the roads compared to the number of vehicles with multiple occupants and try to picture how much more room there would be if just half of those cars with a single person were left in the driveway that morning, that’s the reason all you people are getting so bent out of shape and if you don’t want to start doing something about it eat a dick

Everyone is way too fucking self-absorbed and egotistical. Pedestrians think you should be able to stop on a dime for them to cross the road (most of the time you should be able to stop for them, but occasionally, it would be a hell of a lot safer for them to wait 2 seconds for you to pass!!!)
Cyclists aren’t sure whether they are pedestrians or vehicles, and therefore piss off everyone. I do cycle. I include myself here.
And drivers are the most fucking ignorant drivers I have ever encountered anywhere in North America. And I have driven cross-continent 6 times.
I just got my license renewed. I am shocked and appalled that there is no eye test. It’s been 5 years. Things could have changed. That just begins to show you why we’re fucked on the roads here! We’re just lucky there’s not more traffic because there would be way more accidents!
