The political system, the economy, it all sucks right now.
We as Canadians are becoming too passive aggressive, and politicians are taking advantage of it.
When will enough be enough? When will we finally be able to come together as a whole body and speak out against the rash spending here, or the budget cuts there?
It is getting tiring, and I for one have had enough.

They didn’t break the “law” from what I have been able to read on it.
They broke policy by violating the cities’charter’ which is (IMO) breaking the rules, so should be held accountable.
Personally I believe they should step down, that’s the right thing to do.

Peter Kelly, by his own admission, was privy to the deal between the concert promoter and the bureaucrat.
I don’t think he should be presiding over deals like that behind closed doors and without oversight.
This concert promotion thing has gotten out of hand, as clearly indicated by the fact that the promoter in question has gone bankrupt.
This lack of transparency should and apparent poor judgment should come up at the next mayoral election.

They’re having a meeting this afternoon (the council) in FUCKING CAMERA of course, to resolve this matter.
I listened to 95.7 FM this morning, and there was actually a caller who thought Petey was doing a good job – who, other than a relative, would be so fucking gormless and shit brained enough to actually think that this man is doing a good job?
I hope the meeting turns into a reality show where all the other mutts gang up and vote Petey out of office – not much chance as they’re circling the wagons and stocking up on depends and ear plugs.
I get a kick out of all of the political ‘experts’ in the CH and other places calling for ‘recall’, ‘impeachment’, ‘calling the cops’ or some other non-existent device available/appropriate in municipal politics.
