To the morning commuters who must work/park either on Grafton or Argyle Street and think that the fastest way to get there is to turn left onto Carmichael Street from Brunswick Street: NEWS FLASH—it’s not, and you fucking hold up traffic every day waiting for people to cross both crosswalks with no oncoming cars. If you had an ounce of common sense you would know to turn left onto Duke Street or go straight through the lights from Rainnie Dr to Duke. BOTH can give you a green light and then right turns to get you to your same location. But no, you’re a cluster fuck who decides to force the rest of the traffic behind you to bottle neck while you wait for your opening. If you can’t figure your way around the city roads do us all a favour and ride a bus/bike or walk. —Tired of Following Idiots

  1. “If you had an ounce of common sense you would know to turn left onto Duke Street or go straight through the lights from Rainnie Dr to Duke.” … to avoid the so called ‘bottleneck’ you seemingly hate so much.

  2. Turning left at rainnie/duke is a nightmare so I turn down carmichael every day.. but ive hardly ever held up traffic.

  3. He’s not turning left. Why is this blog always filled with morons who can’t think. Good on ya OP. Tell them. Next step. Stand on the street in the morning, ask them to roll down their window and politely give them your good advice. Or ask the city to put up a sign saying no left turn during rush hours. Good luck.

  4. “He’s not turning left”
If he wants to avoid the ‘bottleneck’, he’s gotta turn somewhere… you can’t take a right unless you want off-road up Citadel hill…. so what fucking option does he have? he takes a one-block detour to avoid the scourge he so openly proclaims he hates. How hard of a concept is that?

“Why is this blog always filled with morons who can’t think.”
If idiots like you didn’t open accounts, we wouldn’t have this problem.

  5. Turning left from Brunswick onto Duke gives you a flashing left turn signal and a no walk sign for pedestrians, while you can get a green light straight through from Rainnie to Duke. And zZz I go up Brunswick and then right onto Sackville. Perhaps I’ll draw you a map next time so it’s easier for you to understand.

  6. Or perhaps you should have just told us where the hell you’re trying to go…
since there’s certainly no lack of route options available to you.
I have been known to go all Firefighter Kramer on here before…

  7. This is why I love where I live! The only bottle necks I see on my morning commute are the ones floating in the harbour 🙂
