You and your business make millions yet you pay your employees so little! This province needs jobs that people will actually stick around for…. but good to see you enjoy your lifestyle. —Poor NS

McDonalds?
Who cares? Welcome to capitalism.
Was the salary a surprise after hiring? Did these employees apply for and accept a position without knowing the compensation?
If you are searching for a job please consider employers who offer a full benefits package with health coverage, matched pension contributions, paid vacation time, paid training opportunities to upgrade skills and the ability to advance within the organization. These items are worth GOLD. Sometimes accepting a position at a lower salary with these perks goes a lot further than holding out for a few grand more without them. Your future depends on it!
Pay level is based on what you bring to the job. You get paid more for rare and/or high level skills or for taking on more responsibility (e.g. management). Those are all in your control. Waiting for management to voluntarily pay everyone more is not. Take control of your own destiny.

I love it when they say a business makes millions. It is gross or net? Are there shares? If a share started say at $100 at the beginning of the year and is worth $102 at the end of the year, there was not much profit. So before going on a rant make sure you know exactly what you are talking about. All businesses and governments, non-profits, charities, etc have their own pay scale and if you don’t like the pay you don’t have to work there. The people at the top usually do get paid much better than those at the bottom but the ones at the top usually started at the bottom. If you want to get tot he top, you have to work to get there.
What hard to find skills do you bring to your job? If you leave and there are 50 people who can walk in and pick up the slack tomorrow, low pay is exactly what you should expect. You are in control of your own destiny. You can develop some hard to find skills that are in demand and then work your ass off once you get a foot in the door. Stop blaming “the man” for your own choices.
uh… bro, if there are 2 million shares then ya, that’s plenty of profit.
Problem is that wages aren’t increasing but gas goes up and then stuff that’s shipped and trucked (so basically everything) goes up. Then… like now…. gas goes back down but everything stays the fucking same inflated price. Rinse and repeat for record profits and income inequality gap.
