Ok, this is ridiculous. There is ONE learning disability specialist for all of a certain university, college, and art school, and her position is being cut. Yes, they are in financial trouble, and they are under immense pressure to streamline their budget… but this isn’t the right place to make cuts. And senior administrators BANNING employees of student services to talk to the media? Outrageous. “Accessibility Services” is already terribly inaccessible, and the LD specialist was the only reason I was able to successfully navigate all the messy bureaucracy. This needs to change. —LS
