I’m so sick of ill mannered/ half assed/ pointless and annoying spray painting jobs Halifax. Particularly the recent “HATE COPS” on the side of the building under “CONCRETE WALLS MAKE ME FEEL HOLLOW” that has been there for years. If you don’t hate cops, you’re stupid. You have ruined a piece of art.

I found my appreciation for tagging when I visted my bro in LA….many gangs used the unused waterducts throughout some of the city to have competition whose part looks the most artistic…….
I have no problems when someone needs to make a public message….. though some of the wording aint necessary…having been forced to spray paint myself I am all for it if the ends justify the means and the greater good is achieved….
So you bitch is to do it tastefully in a place not degrading other artistic tags?

Tags aren’t even half as clever as grafetti of the past – it’s just shit on a surface that some arsehole with a spraycan used to mark his fucking territory like a goddamn mongrel. Thanks for the black piss stains, you morons.
I have seen some tags that could pass for graffiti… and yes not all graffiti is art but I actually like it…..unless it is vulgar or destructive.

I guess it depends on how they tag…. and I have seen some impressive stuff….. but then again I cannot draw for beans so any resemblance of this skill impresses me……. I think there is a time and place for it too

You’re particularly stupid if you hate cops unless you’ve got a great reason. As in, your spouse was accidentally shot dead by police, or some officers used you for a football because of mistaken ID. Now, you may not like police much, maybe because you’re down on authority, or for some lesser reason like they are slow to respond to your noise complaints, but *hate*? That’s stupid. Anyone who hates is actually pretty idiotic – they’re allowing something to consume their life.
I remember reading ‘mothers cry’ ..sprayed on an overpass in Dartmouth and it made me weep each time…I shared it with others who used it for something at work….. it amazes me why folks write what they do sometimes…what were they feeling/thinking/experiencing….. sharing

It is all vandalism regardless of what it says. Total disrespect for private property. The offenders should be arrested on sight. I’d like to be able to shoot them on sight, but arrest would have to do.
