They have created a a system that uses the legal system for their own ends. WHat’s even worse IMO is that to become a judge… you must be a lawyer.
But what do you expect from our system of Government which is made up of too many Lawyers.
I believe we need to make it illegal for anyone to be an elected official of any branch of any governing body in Canada, if you have attended law school-period-.
You go to law school, being a lawyers all you can do with it.
You don’t HAVE to have a lawyer to do anything. You can file your papers yourself for whatever you have to do and you are entitled to represent yourself, OP. You’re still going to pay fees to file and access the justice system anyway.
Lawyers know their shit, and that’s why you pay so much. If every idiot out there tried to represent themselves we’d have a cluterfuck of assfuckery going on.

Unfortunately, 195, legal aid is based on salary and it’s a pretty shitty system…people who really can’t afford a lawyer are sometimes told they can and don’t qualify for legal aid.
As well, there is a lawyer referral service where you can get a free consultation, I believe.
Reminds me of a cartoon I did once in the 1980s:

Well I suppose we could pay more taxes and have the Canadian Legal System just like the Canadian Health System and we all know what that system is like.
but if you should ever need one o.p., you will call these scum real quick. yes, granted they represent some of other less than steller people, but that is why they took the bar exam for. had i finished, i would probly be a scum to you too then.
i did have my principles tho, if i thought you were guilty, i never would have taken your case, if i had graduated.

The only time I’ve found I had to have a lawyer, was when someone else had one first.
I had to get a lawyer to check the legal BS every time I’ve bought property…but that’s just because the Banks want assurances before they will finance your mortagage.
I had to get one for my divorce.
Not at first… I offered her the house on the lake in Dartmouth, all the contents,except my clothes, we pay off the outstanding bills equally & I continue to pay for the kids education.
But oh no
She had to get a fucking lawyer.
After almost 2 years… she got the house on the lake, the contents, we payed off the bills equally, & I kept paying for the kids in school.
Some of might say…BUT THATS THE DEAL YOU OFFERED HER.
But you would be wrong !
You see ,her fucking lawyer way, meant I also got a $30,000 lawyer bill & probably she got one of a similar size….aren’t lawyers G R A N D
My way would have been roughly $400.00 in costs …her way ended up bankrupting her…or from what my kids tell me she had to sell the house & now lives in 1 bedroom apt. in North end Dartmouth !

Hmmm….I don’t see my lawyer friends complaining. Their clients keep paying them. Maybe you just can’t afford quality service. Try legal aid.
If the majority of the government are made up of doctors and lawyers, they must be pretty shitty doctors and lawyers all laughing their way to the bank.
I was out in the woods a couple of days ago, & not a track to be seen anywhere. 2 weeks ago we had a dusting up at my woodlot in Musqudoboit valley & my brother & i went to fill a couple of pickups with firewood. & we took a walk around…no sign of anything up this way.
No wonder the coyotes are tasting the meter readers…they’re the only thing moving ~;)
