You know what I hate? All those idiots on kijiji that have had the same items on there for the same outrageous prices for weeks and weeks and then they have the audacity to broadcast “LAST CHANCE”……Seriously, do you actually fucking think that saying that is going to make people finally buy your shit at the rediculous prices you are trying to sell them for? And another thing, if this is everyone’s “Last Chance” what exactly is going to happen to this item that obvioulsy is not wanted? Are you actually going to throw it the hell out so I can finally stop seeing it on the website? I sure hope so! LAST CHANCE…..hahahahahaha you morons!

  1. Wow… “Last Chance” certainly got your attention. I guess “Last Chance” served it’s purpose quite well. I am sure you are one of those people who take the time to contact posters on Kijiji and bitch them out for asking too much for an item or saying “It’s 50 cents cheaper at Walmart” or some dumb waste of time comment that only serves to waste both people’s time. Now THAT’S what I hate.

  2. Agreed ustwess. I hate it when I get a response telling me what a “ripoff” something is. If you don’t want it, mind your own fuckin business.

  3. I’ve certainly responded to posts on Kijiji when they’re moronic. Recently someone had an ad up for over 3 weeks (reposted every few days) In desperate need of a free Bumbo, must be pink or purple! If you’re in desperate need, and want it for free, the colour certainly doesn’t matter. So I told them so.

  4. Come to think of it, I’ve done the same thing PAS -if the ad was misleading or required more info. I like the ads in the “phones, pdas, ipods” section that just say “Phone needed!”

I also love the spelling and grammatical errors on kijiji (even worse than LTWWB).

  5. What I find annoying is I had a pool on K, sold it in 3 days and a month later I am still getting replies… even though I have marked it SOLD

  6. take the damn ad down!

    Top 5 Kijiji pet peeves

1 – people who don’t remove ads once things are sold, just putting SOLD on the ad doesn’t count. delete the ad!

2 – People who are asking more for used electronics than a new one cost. I don’t care how much YOU paid for it when it was new x years ago. Electronics age and depreciate in value MUCH faster than just about anything else you can buy. Do a bit of research before you set a price for something.

3 – People who offer to ” take it off your hands” for 1/3 of your asking price like they doing you a favour.

4 – People who don’t put the necessary details in the ad that correspond with the product. Some details are make or break details depending on what the product being sold is. You shouldn’t have to waste time writing emails to find out these things, cars and home theatre receivers are two things that come to mind as things that the specs should be listed.

5 – People who use text short hand. Its not an AD IN A PAPER CLASSIFIED. Its free and you are not paying by the letter. Use the whole damn word so i don’t have to crack your short hand code. CC? PW? ex cond? pwr sstrl? ……spell it out !

Bonus – since i am apartment hunting now. People who list apartments as being 15 mins to downtown Halifax without any more info on their location. That is pretty much EVERY apartment for rent that is not on the peninsula. When i am short listing place to consider its a huge pain in the ass to have to write 20 emails and wait to hear back on location specifics. Maybe i don’t want to live in spryfield or Saukville.

    rant over

  7. Cl story:

I post my older motorcycle to trade for a newer, smaller model (a reasonable trade a 750 down to a 250 or 500) or for a reliable scooter. The response i got said he had a moped, 2005 to trade plus will offer cash if its worth it. I think its a prime deal… call him up … oh he failed to mention that the engine in the moped was shot… then he said “well I could do some cash as well…. and I told him how much i was selling the bike for and he said no dice…

  8. About a year ago I was selling winter tires on steel rims. A guy emails me repeatedly asking every question under the sun. He finally says he’ll take them for $300 instead of the $400 I was asking. I said I would accept that. He then asks if I can deliver them…to fucking Moncton.

Amazingly, I said ok because I was going to PEI that weekend. He then emailed an hour or so later and said he changed his mind and he didn’t want them.

My biggest beef with Kijiji is people will haggle the fuck out of you and then not buy the item. Is online haggling that much fun?

  9. i get annoyed when you post something for ex $10 and people are like NO i will give you $5. If i wanted $5 i would have posted it for $5

  10. If…..I…..could…..delete…..the…..ad…..I…..would…..have

    that should have been intuitively obvious….by now…. so…..I…..marked…..SOLD…..so…. that…. when ….folks…….. read…. it….. they…. would…. know… it ……was…..wait for it…wait for it..sold…

  11. Even worse Jane, is when you post something for, say, $100, and they offer you like $25. That’s just an insult.

  12. i am selling three vip tickets to the cavendish festival in pei… for 325 each…. if i get another message ” ill take all three for $300″ im gonna blow my head off…

  13. ouch that is an insult!!
i always email them back being like “NO i have a price listed as is!”
