Thank you so much for your years of dedication and professional service to the sick kids. You all made more of a difference than they gave you credit for. Your loss will be very painful and cost the most vulnerable people in our society a valuable service and allies when they need it most. It has been an honor to work with you and also to learn from you. Too bad the people who make theses asinine decisions couldn’t be bothered to spend any time on the unit to see the difference you all have made in the lives of these kids, they only see the dollars. Shameful.
Best to the security people who lost their positions also as a result of the cut backs to your service, a fact nobody has bothered to mention at all. No job losses just back to casual positions to try and eek out a living to support their families.
All the best to all of you, you will be missed… —One Who Sees and Remembers
