To the tall, lovely, statuesque brunette with the curly long hair, pink winter hat with the brown rim and a smile that lights up the room; You’re smile is like the sun! Breath-taking. And I mean that literally; it steals the breath from my lungs, and my senses with it. I can honestly say that I’ve never met a woman whose smile captivates me like yours. My heart stops, my breath leaves me, and senseless all I can do is smile back! And today, whatever the reason, you decided you would break the ice with a quip about how the cranberries weren’t ripe enough for your popcorn-cran stringed creation, and I barely mustered two words in return, and felt like a dunce. You went about your business, and I marveled at my speechlessness. To my surprise, and possible redemption of the situation, as you were leaving from across the way you shouted to me, and like a boob I just smiled and waived goodbye assuming you were just being polite as you left. You, looking rather annoyed, continued on… So I wondered if that was a goodbye or something else. I went after you to appologize for misunderstanding and to see what you actually said, but you were gone. I’m many things, but speechless… There’s a first for everything. Hopefully we’ll cross paths again, and the dunce-cap I was wearing will be off. Though if it does, and you still find me frozen in place, my words departed, know that somewhere inside is a man who can form meaningful sentences, if they could only find it within themselves to acclimate to the intensity of that amazing smile. —Sun Struck

  1. You’d think the person in charge of posting this on the page would read it over, and think “oh wait, this doesn’t belong here, it belongs over on the Love page”. With a free site, you get what you pay for sometimes. lol

  2. THE DUNCE

“Hopefully we’ll cross paths again, and the dunce-cap I was wearing will be off.” Sun Struck

Well, I for one see little chance of the dunce cap coming off. The reason I say this is that your bitch is all internal. You are talking to yourself but clearly lack the intelligence to engage with others outside your skull. In spite of your lamentations and protestations, I see this as little more than an exercise of self-absorbed narcissism which, studies have shown, tends to persist throughout life. In other words, you will continue to be a dunce.

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!

  3. Don’t fall in love over looks OP the average person is predatory and most of them don’t even realize it. She’ll take you for whatever she can IF she thinks it’s worth it, and that’s financially or emotionally. People like to feel needed. Keeps them from thinking about lifes frustrations. Don’t sugar coat probability (you don’t even know her).

  4. A DEEPER INTERPRETATION

“My heart stops, my breath leaves me, and senseless all I can do is smile back.” Sun Struck

Previously (12/15, 9:40AM) I dismissed Sun Struck as a “dunce” but I think reflection on his post yields a deeper interpretation. What is that interpretation? It is my claim that of the two sexes, it is the male rather than the female who is the true romantic.

“Sun Struck” is just that, he is overwhelmed by the beauty of the girl with whom he is in love. He has idealized her. He is left breathless and senseless at the thought of her. Why is this so?

Generally speaking and contrary to the common wisdom in some quarters, males are not predatory on females. On the contrary, they are idealistic romantics and they are so for a very good reason. In order that the species be propagated the male must experience intense attraction to the female, an attraction which transcends mere matters of the flesh. Look at the world of art! Listen to the songs of the troubadours! They are the expressions of the male romantic!

The female, on the other hand, is concerned with more practical matters. She conceives, bears and nurtures her children. This is not something to be entered into lightly. Consequently, she is more calculating, more selective in her choice of mates. Can he provide for her children? Will he be constant and true? These, and not as some suppose his ability to make her laugh, are her central concerns and rightly so.

So yes, Sun Struck is a male romantic but, in order for the species to persist, his role is essential in the species’ mating dance.

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!
