Hey haligardeners, I know you love your plants and want to get the most out of yer crummy front growing spaces, but get those fuckers off the sidewalk. Its a sidewalk, not yer fuckin garden. Im stompin all plants that are in my way, but there actually some people out there who are big enough nerds that they are deathly allergic to bees. These people risk life and limb just trying to get around your sidewalk gardens. Ever thought about that? I didn’t think so. How would you feel if your precious sidewalk garden killed some random allergy nerd? You selfish assholes need to prune those bitches. I’m serious

I don’t really like plants. I also don’t like when people overdo it in their yards, front AND back. You walk by the house and it’s a goddamn jungle. Tacky!
oh fer fucksake, find something worthy to complain about… the environment’s going to hell and YOU are cranky about a bunch of plants??get REAL!
i’d much rather look around my neighbourhood and see natural vegetation/plants, instead of asphalt & concrete
Well said Techcafe!!
A little garden plot on the edge of the sidewalk is in your way?! What do you weigh, six hundred pounds or something, that you take up the whole sidewalk? How can you even walk? Bees? Bees?? I can’t even think of a response to such a stupid statement.Oh wait. Yes I can. Ban them! Ban the bees! Don’t you know some people are allergic to bees?! Ban them before somebody dies! I can always count on LLWWB to start my day off with a breathtaking display of stupidity.
I’ve been thinking about the statement kate made about not really liking plants. And on reflection, I think that is one of the most bizarre statements I have ever read. How do you “not really like” the organisms that makes all other life on the planet possible? You eat them. You eat the animals that eat them. You breathe the oxygen they produce. You wear clothing made out of their fibers. You live in structures made of them. You burn them to stay warm. You use utensils and tools and products made out of them every moment of every day of your life. Saying “I don’t really like plants” is just bizarre. It’s like saying, “I don’t really like air. It’s everywhere! I think it’s excessive…”meh. Maybe I’m overthinking it. Maybe Kate just isn’t fond of geraniums…
What you said is completely right and beautiful. We rely on plants and trees (and therefore honeybees) for our very existence. I’ve often thought it would be a good idea to hand out little saplings at the airport for people, so that it would remind them about their ecological responsibility and maybe offset some of the carbon output from planes. I empathise with the OP about allergies and fears and I hope that they are never stung, however, we require pollinators for our very survival. We need more trees, not less of them.
Let’s hit the airport Lilac to pass out those saplings. That is a really good idea!Plants=GoodAsphalt=badI find it funny how people are so uppity about not littering, which is nowheres as bad as what has happened by building these cities of ours. (I don’t litter)
