I called the HRM Call Centre late Friday night to see if they’d found my wallet on the #14. I mentioned that I was a bit panicked because I was leaving on vacation the next day. A mere 75 minutes later, a Metro Transit supervisor dropped my wallet off at my apartment. How awesome is that?! Pretty darn awesome. Thanks, Metro Transit! —Impressed in Halifax

Loves in the Bitch section! Looks like someone isn’t doing their job…
Yeah Buses Suck!!!!!
Fucking bus drivers invading your privacy! What a bunch of assholes!
Maybe it’s just my paranoia, but I’d get my debit cards and credit cards changed. You never know. Those bus drivers are sneaky buggers! hahaha
Seriously though, that was a really awesome thing to do. I was exhausted once and ended up forgetting a shopping bag on the bus once. I had gotten off at the stop just before the terminal and when I realized, I ran down to the terminal and the driver saw me coming and waited for me at the terminal so I could get my bag. <3
see that now people, all of metro transit isn’t the big ogres everyone thinks they are. there are a lot of real decent guys and gals working there. i lost my wallet about 4 years back, on the 52, they called less than 35 minutes later, to let me know that their driver had it, and i could pick it up from him, on his next trip out that day, which i did, after giving him my s.i.n., he checked, i was on my way in less than 1 minute.
yes, Life Sucks, there are “decent people” in many workplaces…
thanks to surveillance by both cameras and bus supervisors posing as “finders of wallets”…one of the oldest ways known to get rid of a union driver back in the day…
These days, you are confronted with an ethical “dilemma” at the workplace…half the time you are being ‘tested’…
I lost my apartment keys on the bus. Never saw them again.
