Yes, I’m talking to you, the person who reads conspiracy websites like gospel.

Look, the government isn’t out to fuck us on a daily basis, despite what you may feel. I often wonder what colour the sky is in your world. Is it blue? Or is it green? Green would make sense, especially since you seem to feel that blue would be normal or what the government or corporate-owned science has brainwashed us common “sheeple” to believe. What really cheeses me off is that your antics are much like a teenager’s; you live in a world in constant rebellion. You know what? Yes, there are some of us out there that just want to work and do the best that they can within the constraints of society as is. That’s the majority of the people in this country, and there is is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Just because you feel differently doesn’t mean you get to adopt a holier-than-thou attitude towards anyone who supports the status quo, and degrade them by calling them sheep. Just like in our world (the real world) your information can be manipulated and be false, and as always, open to interpretation. One final, parting note; if you’re that unhappy with society, there’s always the woods. Oh, but wait, that would mean hard work and isolation, away from great modern conveniences. Tough price to be a rebel huh?

  1. What cracks me up the most is the 2012 fairies. And the ones that claim Obama is the anti-christ…bawhaw, what a hoot. Maybe you can visit the sixties someday, I’d love to go too.

  2. Rebellion is one thing..
but if you constantly rebel against everything all the time, you’re going to show your age a lot more quickly.
You also miss out on a lot of things.
especially if you’re rebelling against drug and seatbelt laws.

  3. What cracks me up the most are the North end showdowns, where 2 fo-hippies silently duel it out by one-upping the other in their hippiness, and then develop un-hippy like attitudes about meat, drinking, smoking, leather… and then label and judge others. I think the most judgemental people I know claim to be hippies, but they don’t claim to be hippies, they claim not to be hippies, because THEY can’t be labelled or defined. They’re individuals.

Worse than fo-hippies… People who pretend to be all business by fighting battles that don’t benefit them in any way. Such pretentious attitude can be observed at http://www.stopnspirg.org or by anyone who shakes your hand asking themselves ‘where can you get me’.

  4. The thing I find most hilarious about these Neo-Hippy wannabes is their complete lack of connection with actual hippies. If you ask any real hippy (still current or former) almost all of them think that today’s incarnation of hippy is a complete joke.

  5. alot of people in nazi germany were perfectly content to follow the status quo, but that doesnt make it right. And dont be so quick to call anyone who is concerned with the state of the world a “neo hippie”… A neo hippie is more like a yuppie, and this city is FULL of them, and alot of them just dont care about anything beyond starbucks and lame indy bands… Obama is not the antichrist, but he does work for the same people as the previous administration. Nothing is going to happen in 2012. I DO take most of these conspiracy theories with a grain of salt, but some of them, the truth is obvious… so OP… who shot JFK? why exactly did building 7 collapse on 9/11? Calling anyone sheep is a generalization, and i agree that its stupid to blindly call anyone anything, but im sorry… if you dont think about, or care about the answers to these questions, then maybe you are sheep. To imply that if you dont like it, you should just “go into the woods” is pretty childish.. some of us want to fight for a better world to live in… follow the status quo right into the new dark ages i don’t care…
