Why is it so hard for people to answer simple questions… or to reply in a timely manner? Today I found items I desired to purchase. Phone # and email were left in the ad, so I called, no answer.
I left a message. I even emailed just in case the person checks that more at the computer. I made sure they knew, I want their shit, and I have cash, and am eager to buy it…. several hours later I finally get an email back…I get the run around from someone who is posting an ad for someone else… for his inlaws or something.
The guy doesn’t even answer my one simple question “WHERE ARE THEY LOCATED?”. That’s typically an important question when you have cash in front of you, ready to purchase something from a seller… right… the guy emails back, saying he doesn’t know where they are… but that someone is coming to look at them and if they don’t buy them he’ll email me… WTF…
Obviously the guy knows where the items for sale are located… if someone is coming to look at them. Then I REALIZE!! The guy is an idiot… he probably thought I meant where are his inlaws located (because they won’t answer the god damn phone)… I should note, I made it very bloody clear what I was asking… idiocy knows no bounds apparently.
This kind of crap is always happening on Kijiji. A friend wanted to immediately buy a car… guy wouldn’t give his address… said to call at 7pm… buddy calls right on time… and the man says he sold the car to someone else who came to look at it…
Another guy posted a Nissan Pathfinder for 1000 bucks… call him up… cash in hand, ready to buy, 2 hours after his ad was posted… suddenly he doesn’t feel like selling it… The ad was still up a long time thereafter…
Another guy had a vehicle for sale… thing wasn’t even in the city… was a couple hundred km away, but posted in City of Halifax…
OH AND GET THIS… HERE IS A GOOD ONE… guy posts a car for sale… gives his address… turns out what he gives is the name of his building… no street signs anywhere…. my friend walks there… all the way there… 2 hour walk… cash in hand… to buy a car… that is in FAR WORSE shape than the pictures (obviously very old pictures of when the car was mint)… OH, AND THE FUCKING THING WONT EVEN START!!!!!!!!

People who sell things on Kijiji have as many or more complaints as you do.
Buyers from there are also, as someone who has recently sold some Truck parts …..problematic
But , what do you expect from a ‘free’ service.

For the buyers and the sellers are no different ‘fellers’ than what I profess to be
And it causes me shame to know we’re not the people we should be So
Put your faith in the post of the man who offers old crap
Put your faith in the offer of the man who’s wanting yours
Take a look at yourself and you can look at others differently
And maybe stop putting so much crap on the site for all to see.
kijiji isn’t really for the serious buyers and sellers…
any old George Costanza type can list something and dick people around.
