I cannot BELIEVE how incredibly rude some of the younger teenagers who come into my work are. I am amazed by their incredible sense of entitlement, not to mention their severe lack of manners or respect for those around them. You would think that people coming into a drugstore would be slightly dignified, but these little assholes only come in to torment the employees and steal as much as they can. I’m 18, and am utterly disgusted by these youth AND the parents who (shittily) raised them. Saying please and thank you really isn’t that hard, and it makes me sick to think that these people will go through life with such disregard for others. Oh,and by the way girls, muffin-topping is NOT attractive. Buy some fucking jeans that fit so I don’t have to see your ass crack and fat hanging out all the goddamn time. Thanks.

wow… your only 18. Don’t be so condescending, people probably think the same thing about you. Even if you aren’t rude like the kids you described, you are still in the age group of that stereotype.
o0o0o0
now there stereotyping
I remember thinking pretty much the same thing – in 1972. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Not all teens are rude.
I second the muffin top motion.
Teenagers are shit. Take away the rap music!
Stairdog, The OP isn’t stereotyping. The complaint is not about ALL younger teens, just the ones that steal, feel entitled and are rude (and have muffin tops). I think it’s perfectly fair to bitch about kids being assholes. There are still lots of good kids out there, but the bad ones do a good job of attracting a lot of negative attention.
Shittily isn’t even a word… I agree with TTFN, the more things change, the more they stay the same. I think the bad ones get more attention now, then they ever have. Which is why there seems to be a resurgence of dumbass kids.
Thing stay the same because the shitty kids in ’72 went on to have shitty kids who had the shitty kids that annoy us today. It’s cyclical, like obnoxious sunglasses.
Dr. Fever, anyone that’s ever used the word shittily knows how great a word it is – it just dances off the tongue.
Muffin top shouldn’t be a term (other than for descibing the tops of muffins), but it is, and is no less great than shittily.
But yeah, kids these days. Who needs ’em?
Pretty much. But I suspect all this acting out shit is hormonal as well as environmental. I was in the throes of menopause when my kids became teenagers and lived to tell the tale.
Heck, I’m just out of my teenage years and I can’t believe some of the kids these days. Politeness is out of the question for most. They’ll wake up sooner or later.
Hmmm … I think things are actually getting worse. Crime rates, drug rates, drinking rates … I think the proof is in the stats. Or maybe the kids are just dumb enough to get caught now? Who knows. All I know is that I get more nervous when I see a group of teens coming towards me than I ever did before. And the muffin top thing – holy shizz. How can you not be aware of the fat innertube you are rocking? Clothes that fit are your friend!
Hey, I wonder what happened to the generation of glue sniffers I went to school with back in the 60s?
Oh, shit, I forgot, they all joined the police force.
Muffin topping, camel toeing, mooseknuckling, and anything else that looks like you’re packing 10 lbs of shit into a 5 lb sack should be punishable by death….. off with their heads!
A sausage casing would look so much more attractive.
What is mooseknuckling?
Giving a bull moose a noogie?
Ha ha ha TTFN.
I think it’s a male camel toe…but I think it can be applied to females too.
You shrewd grown-ups and your crazy terms.
There was a girl I went to high school with who had a camel toe every day. Gross.
I appreciate the sentiments, but you’re stereotyping against all teens. I know many who are LOVELY…simply darling 😛
HOWEVER, I third the mufifn top comment. All I have to say is: barf.
Stairdog – youre crazy. And I mean that in the most respectful, not “teenager like” was possible. Yet its still meant to be rather condescending.
Just because the OP falls into the same age group as the jerks shes talking about doesnt mean she acts the same way. And hell. If she (I assume she?) is speaking out against it, power to her! I mean – damn… not coming up with any good analogies at the moment… – analogy aside! When is it a good thing to say or not say something based solely on your identifying traits?
muffin tops and mooseknuckles. how many time must i type the word *barf* tonight????
