i wish new parents would realize that most people don’t care that you made a baby( something dogs and rats can do).
Also most people would like to take their partner out for a nice meal that doesn’t involve your screaming 2 year old who is being ignored and allowed to scream its head off for the last 10 min.
Seriously, if a cell phone and not a baby was making that much noise for that long the owner would die of embarrassment. why is it ok if its your child.

To fucking bad !! do you think the parents like it when their baby decides to get cranky while they are trying to eat dinner ? I doubt it .If you had kids you would know thats when it usually happens when your out trying to get something done ( shopping , eating out etc…). A baby crying isn’t really pleasant for anyone including the parents but such is life If you want to go out for a ” nice meal ” try going a little later when most babies are in bed . If not then take the chance of hearing some babies crying while your eating.Man your life sounds hard . Suck it up princess !!!!
I flew to England last year and was on the red eye midnight flight. I couldn’t believe the amount of parents with young children on the flight! You’d think that would be the quietest flight of the day, but nope, kids running around screaming and crying the whole time.So you can’t always go by time of day to avoid the youngins.
Wow, that’s pretty inconsiderate KMB. I wouldn’t take my two month old out to eat unless it was during one of her napping periods. If for no other reason, because I want to be able to eat in peace. Guess what? Kids require some sacrifices, and doing all the stuff you could do pre kids is one of them. The other issue is that lots of kids rule the home instead of the parents. Nothing wrong with setting boundaries for them and having some discipline. All this nuparenting hands off bullshit is leading to a generation of brats who are going to get a rude awakening when they have to go in the real world and don’t get their way.I got spanked when I deserved it, and I turned out fine. Kept me honest.
I might get chewed out for this, but it seems to me, young kids are very similar to dogs in the way they need to be disciplined, especially when kids are too young to reason with. They both respond well to positive reenforcement, and having consistent boundries set by the alpha/parent.Some TV station used to air a parenting show right after a dog training show….I was always amazed how the kids and dogs had similar behavioral problems and the “experts” often offered similar advice to parents/owners on how to correct the undesired behaviour.I’m not trying to equate kids with dogs, but, there are some interesting parallels.
Will pete my man only two months eh ? congrats its alot of fun but you will find out only too soon that it wont be so cut and dry for you in the future . And I totally agree 2 months old is too young to take out to eat , no doubt . but if you stick to the ” I am only going to do something while they nap ” attitude as time goes on you won’t get much done. There will be times when you will be out somewhere and your little one will get cranky . All you can do in that situation is calm them down one way or another . I am just mad at the people who say this inconveniences them , I think it’s pathetic really maybe someone should invent some kind of muzzle to quiet our children so they dont bother anybody while they are in public . Whats wrong with people these days….
KMB…What’s wrong with people these days?? Some people chose not to have kids because they don’t want any and not everyone “oohs and ahhhs” when kids are around….it doesn’t make them bad people it just makes them different then those with kids….I have kids and they are older now and I hate hearing screaming kids at a restaurant and sure I feel bad for the parents but I also feel bad for the childless people who aren’t used to cranky kids….
So, Pete. Are you actually suggesting that you are going to spank your child when it acts up? I seriously hope that you try to use other forms of discipline before you resort to causing your child physical pain and feelings of fear and embarassment. This is the 2nd comment I’ve read in a very short while that suggests that it’s alright to use corproal punishment with kids. Let’s hit them! Yessirree! That’ll teach ’em real good to grow up to be nice people! And NO ONE makes comments about that for a bitch, but loads do about how a crying kid bothered them when they were out in public? What the hell is wrong with you people!!!?
Actually, taking a 2 month old out in public is way easier on your sanity and other’s ears as they sleep for like 20 hours a day. I’ve always said that newborns are very portable! It’s the toddlers and older that have no discipline that wreck havoc on restaurants and other public places. I have a 7 year old and not once since he was born has he behaved badly (crying, tantrums, etc.) in a public place. And no, I don’t beat him.
