Thank you small scale producers for standing your ground, your principles, and for not selling out to the glam and the glitz of what’s trendy and new. You’re living true sustainability, the way it ought to be. —Small Makes a Difference

  1. AHHHHH, the farmers market… this took a while to figure out.
    I was thinking…
why are you proud the Hemophelia Foundation of Michigan didn’t sell out to the man?!?!?

as long as they have waffles, cheese, meat, and booze to sell, I’m sure they’ll survive just fine.

  2. thanks zedman, all i could think of was film…what with nb taking away the tax credit

  3. NB is stoopid for that.

Anyway, I like the new Seaport Market too though! What’s wrong with a big new space? And as far as I can tell, they’re nearly ALL local producers there too… I love it there. Some like the other better, I like the new one better. To each their own. But I don’t think those who have taken a space in the new location have exactly “sold out”. They’re in it for better business, and it must have made sense for them to go. Good for them, more people means more $ in the farmers’ pockets.
