I know that there is already a bitch about facebook and kids, but a completely separate issue has caught my attention. I’m a ‘live-and-let-die’, I don’t get my panties in a bunch over people’s slutty photos or the stupid kiss face because i think Facebook is a really cool way to display your personality and stay close to people. That being said, the other day I looked at the profile of a friend of a friend (which was set to free public access for anyone)
The chick was around 24-25 and had a daughter that looked about 3 or 4, maybe even 5, and she has album UPON ALBUM of her and her young daughter, hamming for the camera. Way to instill your vanity into your daughter. Then, I look at her groups and ALL of her groups are ones like “Facebook’s cutest kid contest”, “hottest MILF on facebook”, “Cute kid talent search”, “My kid is the cutest on Facebook”, “mother-daughter hotties” and the list goes ON AND ON…..
My bitch is, not only does this dumb fcking blonde post 100’s of photos that would be right up a pedophiles alley on a profile that ANYONE can look at, she also pimps out her pictures on any site or group where she can exploit the kid’s cuteness (which i REALLY don’t see). And for what?! Are you really so shallow that all you need to hear to feel justified as a human being is “you’re a MILF, and you produced a cute kid” I highly doubt your daughter would consent to having her photo taken if she knew that with one click, every child molester in the world could have her photo on their desktop. You’re SOOOOOOOOO pathetic, and I pray to God that you read this column because I want you to know how badly fucked up your kid is going to be, having the knowledge that mommy cares more about attention and being a “facebook celebrity” than what’s best for her.

I said something similar in the old thread about this. I just tell all the mothers I know that those pictures don’t belong to them anymore once they’ve been posted, and that *anyone* can snatch them and plug them into a Sexy Kid database.People who don’t want to think or talk about this kind of stuff because it sullies up their innocent intentions are only perpetuating the secrecy that child exploitation requires to continue. Britney Spears on the cover of Rolling Stone is a good example – aw, isn’t she cute, pretending to be a sexy grown-up lady in her bra and panties surrounded by stuffed animals talking on the phone. I’m sure her mother thought that shit was harmless and innocent when she gave it the go-ahead, too.
Remember all you facebookers out there, once it’s on the web it will be forever on the web. It doesn’t just go away or expire over time. I don’t think that people really consider that when they fire shit out there.

while i agree with this to a point, what does that say about us as a society that we have normal people (our friends since that is who is supposed to be on our friends list and the only people that could cross reference that), that actually would take the time to cross reference the two groups. THat is a lot of work for pervs to do, and then meet the chick… and etc. Isnt this something that her friends would know how she was anyways? I dont think my kid has any friends that have a facebook profile, since the users are supposed to be over 18.
Speaking of paedophiles, I’d like to know why they call those ‘sexy’ little one-piece outfits (halter/shorts) ”playsuits.” That’s the name of a child’s outfit, not that of some adult female! Is it just me or does anyone else find this grossly innapropriate??
