I don’t mind helping out around the apartment, I really don’t, all you have to do is ask me. Do not bitch about how my boyfriend and I do nothing at all, can’t even rinse our dishes off when you have to wash them. Please look at those plates, we rinse off every plate, glass, fork, spoon, EVERYTHING we use. It is your milk cup, your sticky plate, that are bringing ants in. Complain if you want but get it right. If you feel like you did the dishes last night and it should be our turn, say, “Guys it’s your turn.” We will happily do it. Don’t bitch about it all night when we are in earshot without having the balls to just say it to us. P.S. The reason your feet weren’t sticking to the kitchen floor is because I was on my hands and knees washing it. We cleaned the WHOLE kitchen, thank you for noticing, oh wait… —Can’t Say Anything Because I Don’t Really Live Here

I’m with Frenchie on this one. You’re not a child, you shouldn’t have to be asked. You sound EXACTLY like my roommate. If you see something dirty or that needs to be done, just do it for Pete’s sake.

o.p., i can relate to roommates being lazy, no good for nthings. had one, and let me say, never again. while i’m not the best housekeeper in the world, dirty dishes and shit, sitting around, tend to stink after awhile, and not to mention the little scurrying things, that can inhabit them.
it’s not a new thing o.p., it will go on, long after we pass from this world. so get used to it, or get another place to live, that is my only answer here.
