To the people who buy up concert tickets and show tickets the day they come on sale anticipating them to sell out and then double the price and put them on Kijiji. Halifax is not a big city but it is starting to attract some great acts. Amazing bands and concerts happen sometimes in the smallest of venues and just because you’ve heard the name of the band but probably never heard their music does not mean you should try and make a profit by forcing real fans to track you down and take part in a bidding war online. I’ve played your game and I’ve had to find my tickets on the street but that 80$ I gave you for the 40$ ticket could have bought a t-shirt or cd at the show and helped to support a great band and given them a reason to come back to Halifax.

Tim, we need “Another scalper bitch” banner.
I second that!
Motion carried?
If you really liked the band you’d pay the price no matter what.
For fuck sakes!! Enough with the ticket bitches people!! You’re beating a dead horse at this point. No one cares!! Get your tickets early or be prepared to pay for over priced tickets. That’s the way it works. STFU already!!
Whatever guys. This shouldn’t be the way it works is the fucking point. Scalping is illegal and should be enforced online too. Anyone who thinks this is ok is a fucking asshat.
It isn’t illegal, asshat. Selling food or gas during Emergency Measure Act situations is illegal. Selling a 60 year old car for 1000 x’s its original cost is legal. Selling a comic book for $6,000 is legal. Selling a concert ticket to some schmoe for triple its cost is priceless.
Tickets should be like airplane tickets and have names attached. If you want to sell yours because you can’t go, sell them back to the venue so they can recirculate them.
This is the most played bitch ever…even more than buses.
I think BRoc should stop posting these bitches, it’s getting old.
I’m not posting fuck all, but I certainly agree with them. If you don’t, then you’re a fucking douche. Plain and simple.
I admit that this bitch is tired, however, please someone give me a valid argument as to why scalping is okay other than “should have bought your tickets early” or “We live in a free market”. These “arguments” are cop outs. And Cranky, my bad, you’re right scalping is not illegal in NS.
Totally agree with Miles!!
The box office tries to combat this by limiting the amount of tickets per person. this is hard to police.
