He sold their family farm, the horses, everything they had & came to Dartmouth, his wife went to medical school, became a doctor, studied more until she was a pathologist. When she got her first job in Saint John, she came home & told him she wanted a divorce…she was debt free, they had put everything into her training, he was the home husband taking care of their children & only worked for us when he could get his mom to take the kid’s.

I think every situation is different. If she’s at all concerned that this will be the case…then you shouldn’t be in the relationship. 75% of marriages end in divorce and chances are that some of those people are doctors…so she should do what you think is right. But if your friends goals are to be a secretary for the rest of her life then maybe she should follow his lead and have some higher ambitions.

Im in with TTFN on this one. Shit could go either way, too many variables. One thing though- 2 years is shit all and I’m surprised they got engaged so early.
