To those motoring geniuses that have decided that the ramp from the Bi-Hi southbound into Bayers Lake Park is an INTERSECTION, could I take a moment to point out IT’S A MERGE LANE. Do not stop and stare mindlessly at the approaching traffic in the next lane over, fascinated by the motion and shiny metal. Instead, use your very own, dedicated merge lane to blend ever so efficiently into the flow of traffic. Sometimes I wish I had a ’72 Polara with a front bumper made of 6×6 pressure treated timber so I could push you and your family truckster into the median and outta my way! —Road Master

The one that pisses me off is the idiots that come from bedford way onto joe howe and stop at the dutch village intersection to wait for the cars coming toward them turning onto dutch village as well.

@Fire RagezZz, if you perhaps didn’t notice but if you’re turning right onto Dutch Village Road there is a Yield sign to indicate that you’re supposed to yield to the left turning traffic there. Although I’m surprised that anyone actually does because I’ve never saw anyone ever yield there.
Agripo: Left-turning traffic must turn into the nearest (i.e. left lane) when turning on a 2-lane road (right-turning motorists turn in the right lane). If the left-turning motorist wants in the right lane, he must merge when it is safe to do so from the left. I agree about the yield but the rule still apply to the left-turners.
Traffic would flow a lot better if people would follow the rules.

Z: I assume you meant the text below. I thought I should write it for those who don’t get it.
The yield is there because you (the car) is turning from one road onto a different one and you need to make sure it is safe to do so before proceeding. The yield is more meant for a cross-street intersection (4+ roads leading to it) where you would have to yield for cross traffic as they would have the right of way (your direction has the red light). The one we were talking about is kind of moot as there are only 3 lanes feeding into the intersection.
