You still have to yield to the crosswalk traffic whether they’re on a bike or not. If you don’t, it makes people angry on the CROSSwalk.

I’ve had to drive in Halifax every day last & I swear some of the cyclists are getting stupider or they are first time ever riding a bike !
You don’t know what they are going to do ! !
I’ve seen them weaving through traffic, on & then off the sidewalk, going against traffic flow driving right in the centre of the lane instead of off to the side …. fucking suicidal IMO.
Same goes for motorists, getting – more – stupid (but not stupider). The difference is a car can kill a cyclist but a bicycle isn’t going to kill a motorist. And yes, that does mean that cyclists are able to get away with more of their infractions. Get over it, or at the very least write a letter to your city counselor requesting greater application of the laws governing cyclists.
