I am sure that over the past day and a half everyone has read or heard about the protest in North Preston about the logging/emergency road being used by the 10 land owners closest to it: this makes sense. But no, no, no the community around finds it to be racist that of the 10 land owners all but 2 are white.
Now I ask this why would something as stupid as this be considered racist? I see this as the owner of the road allowing the others who live on the street/very close area to use the road.
I have been seeing more and more things turned into “racist accusations” I was on the bus the other day, Kid didn’t pay enough and asked for a transfer, when the driver said no, the kid said that its cause I’m black. Seriously!?! —Annoyed Citizen

Yes, there are some women that only date men of one race, and it truly baffles me, but people have their own preferences. Oldhand: NGF is not connected to The Coast, as far as I know. The posts that were flagged were removed this morning… Apparently you think that the Mod should be hardwired right into the system and be able to respond to everything in the blink of an eye. But I actually work during the day but check in the evening and again in the morning to make sure nothing has exploded online. I do have a life outside The Coast that requires some involvement, and the occasional shut-eye.
As for reporting posters to the police – sure if it was actually necessary. Since taking the reigns here there have been countless offensive posts, but none that have required contacting law enforcement. Although a lot of what NGF says doesn’t sit well with my equality lovin’ sociology/gender studies/journalism/business & pr schooled lefty POV that doesn’t mean I think it should all be removed, in fact my predisposition to leftist values means I am careful only to remove things that piss me off if doing so is necessary for reasons unrelated to my own beliefs. That said violation reports are another thing entirely and offending posts are removed unless they are so bland its obviously just someone with an axe to grind reporting them.
