To the stoned counter girl at the movie place. Is it that difficult to make sure that the correct DVD is in the case before you put it back out to rent? Why would you even be taken them out of the cases anyway?

Was pretty pissed when I didn’t get the movie I actually paid for. Seriously, not cool. —Blue Ray

  1. It was an honest mistake, people make them. When you return it, they’ll give you a free rental or two. Don’t cause a scene over something so stupid.

  2. haha thanks kim…that sacha much sexier than hasselhoff. who is apparently returning to the soaps

  3. Love to know what he’s firing the Dushka at. Sharks or fat quebecers in speedos?

  4. A bitch about a simple mistake? Overreact much, OP?

Just check to make sure the right dvd is in the case when you rent it out next time — they PROBABLY got it back that way and didn’t check it when it came in. Just tell them what happened and you’ll get a few free rentals and coupons.

Honestly, I don’t really think a simple mistake such as this is bitch worthy. but maybe that’s just me *shrug*

  5. As a former movie rental place employee I can tell you that a LOT of movies come back like that. You ARE supposed to check them before you put them back into the computer, but sometimes you’re going to quickly you might miss a couple. It’s an honest mistake, and it’s not like they did it on purpose. I can tell you right now having a customer coming back and bitching you out for a simple mistake really fucking sucks. In order to help prevent that problem I took to checking the movies inside the cases again before renting them out. It helped catch a lot of mix ups. Not to mention, the person checking the dvd back in and the person renting it out aren’t always the same.

  6. more stoned min wagers…
why can’t I ever find any?
I’d love to mindfuck with some of them.

  7. Simple mistake is right. Do you know how many movies come in and go out of these places in a given day? How many times have you rented a movie and GOTTEN what you wanted? Give the poor girl a break…. And yeah, you’ll get free rentals when you return it and complain…. err, politely explain the mix-up. Bet you won’t be bitchin’ then will ya? And who knows… maybe the mix-up allowed for you to check out a movie you hadn’t seen? If it was a Steven Segal movie, on the other hand, I feel deep sympathy for you.

  8. Sometimes the title of the movie is not on the movie case. I worked at VD on Quinpool a while back. New releases and adult movies were in similar cases. I had some people try to rent “What Women Want” and they actually got a porn. I didn’t know that they didn’t want the porn

  9. haha well in my case i’d take the porn over that other masterpiece

  10. even a bad one with two midgets, a unicorn, and some hairy guy named Rufus.

  11. Of course people rent movies… Streaming sites only stream in SD (they’ll stream in HD for a price), and downloads aren’t the best quality. So, if you’ve got a decent TV, no dice.

  12. if you say so fever.

    braveheart was good too paingirl
and lethal weapons were… ahem… successful.
    they did make several.

  13. I bought The Passion of Christ to see what all the hubbub was about. But, since I was warned that I would have to endure about a half hour of pain, suffering and torment, I thought I would wait until I was in a mood where I could tolerate it–that had to be over 3 years ago and the cellophane still hasn’t been removed.

  14. PG, you certainly must love
    Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead

hard to find but totally worth it.
