As I approached the yellow light at the intersection where I intended to make a left turn, I looked back over my shoulder. I saw you about 70-80 m behind me. Plenty of time for me to change lanes in order to make my turn. I signaled, and moved carefully into the left hand lane. The yellow light turned red as I came to a stop.
It was then that you came roaring up behind me, laying on the horn and leaning out the window, screaming obcenities. You continued to scream at me for the duration of the red light, and proceeded to scream even louder when I began to turn on the flashing green. You may have even tried to throw something at me as you passed me in the intersection box, in the middle of the turn. Or maybe you were just littering, I’m not sure.
Now I have to wonder, if a person making a careful, legal left turn causes you to become so enraged, how would you react if someone actually cut you off in traffic? Or was it the sheer effrontery of a cyclist being in front of you that set you off? You are a maniac, and I hope you have a sore throat.

That’s sad. I hope you don’t let this asshole deter you from riding again. He doesn’t belong here, you do.
Its crazy and I never understood how motorists can devalue bicyclists. Just because a bicycle costs 300 bucks doesn’t make the life on it any less valuable than someone in a Hummer.I hate being caught behind a slow bicycling hipster on their rickety banana seated bike with a basket and ironic old unfashionable helmet as they take up all of friggin North St. showing off their new puke green cardigan and pink socks. It sucks, I get it. But calm the fuck down people! You are going to get folks killed. Also bicyclists have no other choice, they need more bike routes with crosswalks.I used to ride a bike for work in downtown Vancouver and some asshole purposefully ran me over. I think he was pissed off the Canucks choked again that night. Whatta buncha chumps. Now I hate that guy AND the Canucks.
