Intentional walk
To the people who play baseball in the Common on Saturday: I don’t care how “politely” you balding middle-aged men yell, “Walk around!” at me on my way to work. I am never going to walk around. EVER. The Common is a public space: I pay the taxes to walk

one tall large asshole actually threatened me with a bat one day because i got ‘smart’ with him, what a fucking asshole, with all the shit that’s going on and all the work that needs to be done, (saving our species from self-destruction) these people are playing baseball (the type where they don’t even pitch, they toss the ball so each batter can get a hit) it’s so ridiculously juvinile it makes me sick
You both are idiots.Sure it is public, but there are times when you respect that people use the public space for events that require a section of the big field to do stuff.Let’s say one of you are at the beach with someone special, is it cool if another guy decides that the space is public and plows right through your fun with someone special because they decided to be a punk assed bitch like yourself? Shit no.See the problem lies in the fact that you are an inconsiderate bitch who feels that you are too high and mighty to think about other people because you are too selfish. That’s just how it is.
i bet you’re the kinds of dumb c*nts that will will walk in front of a person who’s obviously trying to snap a photo too, huh?your “right” to walk wherever you want is one thing. apparently common sense and human decency are entirely another.*sharing* a space doesn’t mean that two people / groups can occupy the same spot at the same time. use your head.i hope someone’s baseball knocks that chip off your shoulder.
People and sports leagues pay to use those fields. Yeah, their taxes and (your measely taxes) go towards the field, but they pay additionally to maintain it and thus use it. Why do you have to be such a dick about walking the extra 10 feet around the perimetre of the field? Are you that fuckin’ lazy? And I am certain you would put up quite the fuss if you actually got dinged in the head by one of those balls or ran over by a 250 pound outfielder. Sure, the players may not sound respectful (they do have to yell at dozens of people per game) but it is for your safety overall, believe it or not. Asshole.
I agree with the person that said you’re both idiots. Especially you, though.
The PATHS are for walking!!!!! Get a fcuking clue. (your blond right?)
You could be DEAD right if a swift baseball hits you in the temple.
If ya walk through the park while they’re playing a basball game and you get hit with it .Don’t get upset cuz you didn’t watch where you were walking.I don’t think it has anything to do with sharing. Are these ppl obligated to share the space when they’re paying to play there?
i know baseball and i am polite in every way unless some asshole yells at me, the 3 or 4 times i have been in a hurry and walking on the PATH thru the COMMONS and came upon a ball game i timed my jog thru with the flow of the game, i wait 4 a foul ball or an infield hit, i was yell at 4 no good reason, i was not interfering with their game whatsoever, but when i was yelled at and stopped to talk back the game was delayed, they brought it upon themselves ecause they’re r idiots, the ones yelling when it is unecessary at leasti would never get ‘dinged in the head by one of those balls or ran over by a 250 pound outfielder’, i am aware of my surroundingsand yes i spend every saturday down at the boardwalk trying to get in the way of every picture tourist r taking that i can
Are you kidding me? You are some rude bitch! You’re just going to walk through the game? Do you just walk out in front of cars on the street? The commons aren’t just for your walking path. The BASEBALL FIELDS are for PLAYING BASEBALL moron. Don’t be so rude.
My bitch is this column. Why do people assume someone drives an SUV because they don’t like traffic, bad drivers or kiddie killers? How do you know they don’t drive a frigging ’88 Yugo?
You’re just like the rest of those dumbasses that can’t figure out that the field is being used by an organized group that PAY extra to use that space. Walk around the fucking field!!!!!! They yell at you because 1. you could be hard of hearing2. you may not realize what’s going on3. they need to make sure you can hear themit’s not that hard of a concept to understand. There are designated PAVED walking paths for pedestrians. The rest of the green space is for sports teams to use. The more you keep walking on those dirh paths, the more you keep ruining the Commons. I have come close many times to levelling morons like you because you have walked or biked onto the playing field while we were playing. If I am chasing down a fly ball or a football or a frisbee, I am concentrating on that object, not you. You are NOT SUPPOSED to be on the field. So if I run through you and put you in the hospital, you’ve got nobody to blame except yourself. Then maybe, just maybe you’ll have some sense knocked into you if you’re alive afterwards.
they use softballs ‘banjon’…. hehehehe
I agree 100% with the author of this bitch.I am in a hurry in the am. While I wouldn’t walk through the game I will walk through the outfield. To friggen bad if you balding oldies don’t like it.Must be nice to not have to work on sat or sun am.
Would it kill you to take an additional 30 seconds to walk AROUND a baseball game? Don’t be so rude and self-important.
to quote some graffiti on the paved common walkway, ‘but there are so many other paths’
It’s people like this who walk out in the street without looking because they can justify that it’s their tax dollars paying for the pavement. (Like I don’t pay 40% of my fucking salary on taxes!!) I don’t blame the ball players to tell her to get the hell out of the way. It takes a few seconds to divert around the ball game, and I’m sure the walk would do you good. So suck it up and walk around them.
