The Oxford Theatre is supposed to be an independant theatre that showcases smaller films and offers an alternative to the massive amounts of shitty Hollywood movies that come to the other theatres in town, but lately all they’ve been playing are the giant soul sucking Hollywood blockbusters. Where the fuck am I supposed to go to see something other than the new Batman movie?

Maybe the Wormwood will open up again. I remember calling for showtime info one December and the answering machine informed me that “Yes, we have heat”. They didn’t, but the regulars remembered to bring their blankets and sleeping bags and extra sweaters to keep warm.
Dude, where’d you get the idea that its an indie theatre? Oh yeah, it must be all of those indie flicks they show even though they don’t have to but once in awhile they show some mainstream shit so they can keep the place open.
Well….You can have an “indie” movie which will bring in 5-10 people a showingORA blockbuster movie which will bring in 40+ per viewingaka they make more money that way
