to everyone who orders coffee to-go and stays,
maybe if you didn’t stay for over an hour,
maybe if you tipped,
maybe if you made up your mind,
i might want to be nice to you.

Starbucks employee?
Not sure if your workplace is the best arena to express your personal beliefs unless they align. Perhaps you should look at GreenPeace or Sea Sheppard or PETA or Treehugger.com.
If you don’t like what other people are doing, ignore it. If you don’t like what you are doing, change it.
Your cash endorses my smile. Nice.
“If you don’t like what other people are doing, ignore it. If you don’t like what you are doing, change it.” Great attitude bud.
But overall, why is it an issue for you if a customer enjoys their coffee in your shop? Is it making you shop look busy, thus implying good coffee and attracting more customers?
fuck me, another service industry bitch.
Of course another one..
because it inherently sucks.
Someone’s gotta do it though, until skynet works out the last few bugs.

They paid for the cup, they paid for the coffee… anything beyond that is not your problem, maybe it was your judgemental attitude for the reason why someone didn’t tip you
Maybe this person put it in a ‘to go’ cup because they didn’t think they’d drink it all there and wanted to take it with them. I do this all the time the odd time I eat at the food court at the mall. I ask for it to go because I usually don’t finish it there and I’m not throwing away left overs I can devour when I’m hungry later on. Because we all know fast food doesn’t stay with you.
How much of a fucking tip do you think you deserve for spending approx. 30 seconds preparing someone’s coffee?
Get bent you entitled piece of trash (yes, trash is my thing, but the entitled types of trash can SCRAM). It’s your JOB to be nice to customers. That’s like the most important requirement of working in customer service. If you can’t even do that, then why do you expect a tip?
