My parents asked me once when my hair was buzzed short if i was a skinhead. I walked out of the room. You don’t need to justify your hairstyle to anyone. If they don’t like it, tell them to get bent.
When I decide to go bald, I use a bit of head wax… That keeps the skinhead remarks away.
Maybe it’s your bomber jacket and Doc Martens with the Union Jack toe-caps that has them confused. Just sayin’.
Traditional skinheads are not racist or white supremacist. Google S.H.A.R.P. (Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice) and you will find skinheads’ actual history. The Halifax group of SHARP (long gone unfortunately) was started by a guy of Jewish faith and included blacks and other visible minorities.
When you’re female and shave your head (or parts of it, like me), you don’t tend to get Nazi-related comments. Instead, you get homophobic comments. I was hassled by a group of junior-high students last week. I felt a bit silly yelling, “there’s nothing wrong with being a lesbian”, as they ran away.

I know plenty of guys who start shaving their head when their hairline is obviously receding. I don’t see a damn thing wrong with it.

SHARP was first…started in 1969. There is a book “Spirit of 69” that tells about skinhead beginnings and how it became bastardized by boneheads…add in media; the hard working, clean cut, reggae listening kids from the neighbourhood soon become fist pumping neanderthals with their right hand up in the air, out for some aggro. I have been shaving my head bald for years and have never had anyone ask me anything even closely related to something like that. I have had my head rubbed , patted and even licked once in a drunken stupor but have never recieved any negative attention at all ( to my face anyway )

Thankfully you shave it all off. Some guys are in denial that they are going bald and having a bald spot or receeding hairline is just unattractive. Either have a full head of hair, or shave it all of…no in between bi-hair.

I normally don’t like to promote shit on here, but Adept on Quinpool did an awesome job and they took my wife and I fairly quickly.
That’s who I’m booked with, right now for the amount of work I’m getting done they’re booking for end of July…I’ll probably plan for stuff over the winter next time around.
Yeah, that seems to be their downtime; we got ours done in December within a couple of weeks. Mind you, they were simple, no colour and they might have taken about 2 hours between the both of us…
