to all you assholes who insist on shopping, trying stuff on and even having the nerve to ask us to go get you other sizes and help you: When we shut the store doors, it means we want you the fuck out, so that we can clean up, do the tills and get the fuck out.

Please find better times to shop, if you can’t get to he mall until a certain time, go a different day…I don’t want to hear your lousy excuses…Frankly, I don’t care enough. I just want to do my job during hte hours I’m getting paid.

  1. if you have a bus to catch, shortly after 9:00pm, then my suggestion is find a job where you only work until 8:00pm. that way, you will never miss the 9:00 bus! =)unfortunately it isn’t the customer’s fault that you have a bus to catch… if you don’t like it.. please visit http://jobbank.gc.ca/Search_en.aspx and search for a new job 🙂

  3. As a former mall employee, I second this. The most fucking inconsiderate thing you can do is walk into a store 5 minutes before close and meander around, taking your sweet time. Look, I get paid shitty wages to wait on you. I have a life, just like you do.Put yourself in my shoes – how would you feel if I held you up at the end of an 8 hour shift and made you miss your only transportation home?

  4. are people on here mentally incapable of understanding anything? This btich seems pretty straightforward to me…I work in the mall right now and people do this all the time. It’s bullshit and it’s annoying…Why tell this person to shut up and do their job when they clearly are doing their job? If the mall closes at 9 , customers don’t need to be walking into the stores at that time to shop.Also, no it isn’t the customers fault if a person has a bus to catch, but it is the customer’s fault if they decide to do their shopping when the mall is closing…the mall’s open all day, it’s inconsiderate to come in 5 minutes before closing.

  5. When she was younger, my grandmother was locked in a department store overnight because she went shopping 5 min before the store closed. Maybe there is a lesson in there, give the customer what they want….to the max!!

  6. I am not condoning this bitch but I take issue with the statement that they are getting paid for the extra time…have you ever worked retail?!?!?!? They do not pay you for the extra 10 minutes taken to serve a customer after close; so not only does the poor minimum wage worker miss their affordable transportation home (yeah save up for a cab…that’s an intelligent response asshole) but they have to spend some of their own time making money for the jackass that won’t pay them for the extra time it took to get that last sale in.It’s called consideration and it certainly appears that most of you have never understood what it means or have forgotten it’s meaning somewhere along the line.To the OP…when it’s 5 minutes to close, tell the customer you are closing and that you respectfully ask that they vacate the store. If the owner gets all pissy about it, give them the total amount of unpaid wages owed for OT and say it’s either that or allow you to continue to user people out so that you can close on time. The worst they can do is fire you from an easily replaceable minimum wage job, they make you feel replaceable but in reality if you quit or leave suddenly it’s going to cost them more than it’s going to cost you.

  9. Being an ex-retail employee myself, I always enjoy reading peoples different views. There is always the people that work retail, that agree with the bitch and then you have the people who never worked retail telling the people who work/ed retail to “shut up” and “get a new job”.Funny thing is if everyone took the “ignorant never worked retail”‘s persons advise, then no one would work retail. There are only a few types of jobs out there for the young.

Seriously just find a new place to work if its that stressing, I get so angry when I read these bitches about getting mad at the customer who is doing nothing wrong, I have worked in retail for many years, and as much as it sucked to wait for the last few old bags or idiots to leave my store so i could close, it was my job.

  14. But the customer is certainly being inconsiderate, while this is not exactly wrong it is insensitive. Sure they don’t know the worker has a specific bus they need to catch but generally walking into a store minutes before close is pretty ignorant.

I understand the fusteration of missing a buss been there done that, but try talking to your boss about going early, or like others suggested get another job with better schedule. But most of all dude/dudette ya gotta get your anger under control or you might end up with a heartattack! so what you take another buss you get home a little later kay cer ra cer ra..its called life!
