I sincerely hate you, bike thief, you took my main means of commuting away from me, and I really liked my bike.
I really hope I can find you, so then I can at least know who it is I hate. All I do know is that you were on Granville St last night around 9 and somehow undid my lock after you failed to cut the cable. Practically in plain sight too, way to go.

I think all Halifax denizens get their bike stolen at least once. Mine was chained to my 2nd floor landing by the main entrance to my place. The bastards trespassed, walked up the stairs and cut the lock.

How many bikes can bike thieves steal, and what can they do with them? Pawn shop? Joy ride? Salvage to make arrows?
How is it that all these people are having their bikes stolen. Put on multiple locks and you’ll still have a bike. Keep in mind that locks that require keys are EASY to pick…..very easy!

I’ve always kept mine inside my apartment. Even if it means taking up space in my bedroom or a hallway. I don’t trust the little shits in this city. I can understand when you go out and need to lock it outside, but I’m baffled that people leave bikes outside at night when they’re asleep. Seeing the crackhead yardsales in my neighbourhood where they sell everything from bicycles to cold medication just ups my paranoia hahaha.
I’m not convinced multiple locks would have stopped this thief. They cut another lock that was just on the rack with the bike, which I assume they did thinking it was on the bike too.

I’ve also had my bike stolen, from inside my apartment building. I couldn’t fit it actually in my apartment, unfortunately. My new bike (in my most recent apartment) is locked to a post in the parking garage. But if you’re using your bike for transportation, what are you supposed to do? I mean you can add extra locks, but if they can cut one it only takes a couple extra minutes to cut another.
