This is to the hillbilly who filled his green bin full of HUMAN shit. Why are you so cheap? You can’t afford to get your septic tank cleaned? You honestly had to fill your green bin full of poop?! I really just wanted to let you know i think your a jerk, and i think you should start eating more greens…your poo was a little off. Asshole.

Awesome.
I’m pretty sure you don’t have to work around human feces and I’m not sure, but I doubt that human feces is allowed to be used in making compost and fertilizer.
human crap is to be treated as a possible bio-hazzard, therefore you don’t have to accept it.and as to putting it in a recycle bin, that is just fucking disgusting. tell hrm, and they will check into this assholes ashole product. and will suspend his pick up.it has happened only a couple times that i can remember, but has happened. let their shit sit in the heat for a few nice 30 degree days, they will get the picture soon enough.your job sucks, but someone has to do it, good look bud.
I agree with Miles and LS…you will never be paid enough to handle that in your line of work. Report him like Life Sucks suggests.
Hope the jerk gets his!
How do you know it was human shit?
If it was sloppy shit it probably wasn’t dogs, and if the bin is full and you don’t see a pig farm nearby….
wtf? ewwww!
no way, this can’t be a *serious* bitch?!
if so, garbage man, you should have flung this arsehole’s ‘bin of poo’ onto his doorstep! oh oh, and to drive home the point, get your buddies to come by (preferably after a hearty breakfast and an extra large tim’s coffee) – then each of you drop your drawers and take big steamy dumps on the hood of his car (and don’t forget to squish the chunky bits into the doorhandles and windshield). hell, piss all over everything too!
sheesh, it must take an extra special kind of moron to shit in his green bin. unreal.
man, that’s some crazy shit. no really, you are shitting us, right??
don’t touch it..have his angry neighbors make the decision for him (preferably with pitchforks and flaming torches), to do it himself
That’s fucked.
Problem is if it doesn’t get picked up the a-hole is going to dump it in an apartment garbage bin….I live in Clayton Park and at least twice a day some jerk drives up and dumps their garbage in our apartment dumpster. I don’t get it….do homeowners have to pay to have their garbage picked up? Is there a max of how many bags you can put out?
Wow, and I thought I was bad for trying to recycle that pizza box that time. Makes you wonder if it gets any worse as far as a green bin crime goes…
Maybe they didn’t want to put it in the harbour?? :S
I dunno..
I guess you’re shit outta luck.
ewwwwwwwwwwww
thats gross!!!
i know my bro is a garb man and what people do is crazy! people breaking concret and putting it into bags wtf is with that?
I can’t believe how many of you are ‘afraid’ of a little poop ! I mean you’ll all go downtown and gaze at the harbour (and we all know what its full of), see the boats, watch the entertainment. Its not like he uses his hands to dump the bin ! He hooks it to a hydrolic lift that picks it up & flips the contents into the truck.
Christ…what do you people do when it’s bathroom time & you drop a curly steamer ?
Run screaming from the bathroom ? ” THERE’S POOP IN THERE …. HELP , there’s poop in there” ! ! ! !
First of all….a pile of dog shit is “a little poop”. A green bin full of human feces is, in my opinion, a LOT of poop.
Second, MY poop is not scary. A green bin full of someone else’s poo that’s been sitting there god knows how long….that’s worth being concerned about. Also, do you think there will be no spillage from upending a shit-sodden green bin?
Also, there are serious health issues if human feces (and the bacteria therein) is used to make compost that the city then flings around town.
Was this on Church St.? Fuck there was a rancid smelling bin there earlier today and I was actually across the street and could smell it. It was hard to miss with the huge cloud of flies buzzing atop it.
And its not about being afraid of feces, More, it has to do with “decency” and – well – hazardous product. Sure, the harbour is filled with shit but we’re not taking dips in or using it to brush our teeth. Either way, its not fun to work with feces unless you’re a sceptic tank worker or farmer.
Human feces is probably the most fucked up bi-product of any bodies of any animal on the planet, except for maybe pigs, which helped mutate Pheistria (spelling). Considering all the shit we put into our systems compared to other animals, I wouldn’t want to handle human waste either!
Human shit is not going to help compost break down.
Um, for once I agree with LS about the biohazard thing. This is feces we’re talking about. You’re not going to lose your job for ignoring a bucket full of FECES.
OP, please, for your own sake. Get a new job.
Nice… I wasn’t suggesting that he brush his teeth in it, nor did I mention anything to do with ‘taking a dip in it’. Just dump the foul smelling cart into the truck with all the other foul smelling shit that would already be in there ! (Surely you all don’t think those trucks smell like flowers) Compared to how much feces is already in Halifax, surely dumping one small greenbin won’t end the world !
While I will admit to being unfamiliar with what type of compost is being used anywhere, The Harbour Solutions Plant’s will end up with truck loads of solids having to be trucked & disposed of somewhere. Perhap’s it could be put to good use helping the grass grow back on the Common’s & over on Citadel Hill as well, after all ,you’ve all contributed in making this huge pile of shit, sorry ‘removed treated solids’. Why should we out in the countryside have to put up with your waste being spread around or dumped out here 😉
@ More: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_feces
Read the first line under ‘fecal management’. And keep reading under ‘fecal contamination’.
Composted human feces is used all the time by farmers growing our food. These products should be idendified to the consumer so that we actually have a choice instead of having this crap rammed down our throats.
This crap is called “BIO-SOLIDS”. Tell your MP, MLA, the Ministry of Agriculture, and your grocery outlet that you want these products clearly identified at the consumer level.
If human feces is bio-hazardous, then why do we dump tonnes of baby diapers into our landfill every day? Also, think of the people that have to sort through that stuff; and clean it off of the machinery that sorts the waste, etc. Also, if Mr. Garbage Man had refused the bin, the resident would complain to the trucking company (after being directed to call the trucking company by HRM) and poor Mr. Garbage Man would be reprimanded, mostly because HRM puts the onus on the trucking company to prove that there was reason to decline picking up the waste, so it essentially becomes a “he said, she said” situation. So unless there’s a clear paper trail (which there never is; most of the people employed by these companies can barely read, let alone file a complex form) poor Mr. Garbage Man is called a liar.
Babies don’t eat donairs and shit like we do?
What was the point behind your wiki article shoe_chick?
You want a decent article go to http://gov.ns.ca/nse/water/docs/BiosolidsQ…
What does it have to do with emptying a so called green bin full of shit ?
There is a waste treatment plant at the industrial park at the airport.
Presently they use ‘biosolids’ to fertilize the sod farms out here in the Enfeild, Elmsdale, 9 Mile River area. Many people out here are upset that the hundreds of truckloads of this shit is sitting outside in huge rows leaching into our rivers & ground water. I suggest that if the city is going to be producing large volumes of this crap…dump it on your own property & fertilize the commons, parks & anyone who has a lawn. We don’t want your shit being sent out here & poluting our rivers ,lakes ground water…& very importantly OUR WELLS !
Seems like a real shitty deal, when you finally clean up your harbour & the ensuing mess ends up out here in the countryside, polluting our water !
Plus if you’ve ever smelled that shit….man it makes animal manure smell like roses .
Donair smells the same going out as it does going in, NGF.
shitty deal
My point, More, was that untreated human waste (not biosolids) is bio-hazardous. I highly doubt what was in green bin the OP is referring to was treated (correct me if I’m wrong).
Btw, the article you posted was an informative read. Thanks!
The guy filled it because PETER KELLY told him to….you’ve heard the ads to not flush.
