Oh my god! Is it a gorgeous, beautiful day outside? Tell me again. Two-thousand times today just isn’t enough! Good thing you’re all here to let the person working a 12-hour shift know that they “should really be outside.” I’ll keep it in mind for when the whole concept of employment changes and I can just do that. Thanks! —I know I’m whining but that’s why it’s called a “bitch.”

  1. What are these folk doing inside on such a gorgeous, beautiful day? Do you work at the liquor mart? The butcher shop? Can’t think of anything else required on a gorgeous, beautiful day.

  2. YOU SHOULD REALLY BE OUTSIDE

“Good thing you’re all here to let the person working a 12-hour shift know that they ‘should really be outside.'” I know I’m whining, etc. etc.

As long as the guy letting you know isn’t named Michael Zehaf-Bibeau.

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!

  3. OB, many people feel very awkward just standing there silently while they wait for you to ring in their groceries or whatever it is you do “two-thousand times” a day. So they just blurt out whatever comes to mind – usually something about the weather since they don’t know you. It’s as meaningless as the two thousand times you hear, “How are you today?” – so lighten up and just let it run off you.

The real issue is more likely that you don’t like your job serving the public. Now that is something you can control.

  4. Jesus that’s what people in the maritimes do: they talk about the weather.

I swear if someone makes a peep during cindy the drag queen’s report, they get stabbed.

  5. Now Kitty! Don’t insult the queens… they are far prettier than Miss Cindy. It’s her Grandmother who taught her the fine art of makeup…

  6. Cindy Day is very classy with nice makeup and always looks very nice in her outfits! PettyK, don’t be jelly.

  7. Grandma sez: “Now, Cindy, if you dress in colours of a circus clown, no one will notice the twin hams at the end of your wrists.”
