My job is enforcing policies, like 90% of the populations, so why is it that you feel the rules don’t apply to you?
I am completely sick of seeing you (students-whose parents pay their rent & bills or anyone else out there who thinks they are the whole world revolves around them) unable to abide by everyone else’s rules – the rules in your signed contract that we read with you line by line.
Just because you have no sense of responsibility because you have led such a sheltered spoiled life you can’t possibly comprehend being held accountable. DEAL! You are not special, and its about time someone informed you of that. I will not be making any exceptions, especially for those who demand them from me!
PS. Please tell your parents they did a great job teaching you life lessons and responsibility. —Living in the real world

Doesn’t sound like they’re jealous at all but just venting. Some people are proud to be responsible, self-aware, mature and a worker. It pays off in the end as nobody surfs forever.
I don’t see the OP as jealous at all either. I get angry too when I work hard for something and someone else has their parents or something to hand it to them. They won’t understand the value of things. They will never learn to do things for themselves and will always blame others. These are people I do not wish to deal with, and I’m sure none of you would either! I don’t want to take care of them when they have a runny nose or clean up their messes because they’ve never had to do something for themselves on their own.

Maybe the OP is complaining about someone trying to break a lease on a bed bug or cockroach infested apartment, which case I believe some agreements are made to be broken. Without more specific information, I find myself unable to either praise or condemn this bitch.

Not exactly difficult to figure out what we’re talking about: student loans. The OP specifically mentions students, and might be someone who works in the collections department of a bank.
I don’t understand the irritation of the OP though. It’s not his or her money. Although I’ve met a fair few bank employees who, despite their pathetic pay, are fiercer champions of their institutions than the senior managers are. I think there’s a name for that syndrome but I can’t remember it.
You find that at post-secondary institutions too. The lower their position in the food chain in the institution, the larger their ego.
Thanks guys, its not students loans. Its a lease agreement. You follow the rules like everyone else i will not make excpetions because you choose to be ignorant and not take responsibility for what you agree to. Your parents babied you all your life, and you have never been accountable for anything!? You need to lean! So dont treat me like crap, Im just doing my job. The rules apply to you just like everyone else. you dont get to stay an extra day just becase you cant read your lease to find out when it terminates! Do you think we will start their lease on the 2nd to accomodate your lazy ass?? Definetly not after you demand to move out on the 1st and hang up on me! Forget that.

I agree little more info would be nice…there are several good reasons to break a lease and several bad landlords out there that deserve to have leases broken on them…but if they are leaving simply because of school or job change or something like that then OP is right…find someone to sublet or eat the cost and shut up…OP doesnt sound center of gthe unverse at all..i think some commentors are still just looking for an excuse to undermine the bitch and rolling with the first thing they can latch onto as they lack the common sense to make an informed well-rounded and subjective opinion…and yes anyone has a pang of jealousy mixed with pity and disgust for those who have had a over-priviledged “free-ride” and think daddy will just take care of everything..
