OK people, if you have what you want and you’re so F $%^ing sure you have what you want, then F off and don’t come to me asking and then F&*^&%$ rejecting my suggestions and telling me how to do my job! Holy F are you that freaking stupid like why do I want to listen to you take your situation seriously only to have you say do you even know what you’re doing? Yes, I’m dealing with a stupid person! I deal with stupid people day after day just like you! I swear that people have never worked retail ever in their life and never known anyone who did! Just stop before you think about approaching my desk, ask yourself have I read the package? Answer YES! Have I looked up the item and it matches in every way what I thought I wanted? YES! Do I care what the counter clerk is going to tell me? NO. If this is what you came up with then stay the FU^% away from my counter! I never have probably never will mind taking the time for people who need help, want help and truly require HELP! But if you EVER come to my counter the way you did the other day telling me how to do my job, telling me you have what you needed and don’t need my fregging help anyway, I will kick your freaking ass out the door!
I need to chill… why yes I do because I deal with total idiots somedays! You say, so why work retail? Because there are people who actually need help and appreciate having a knowledgeable person to talk to. What kind of person wastes my time like that? The same kind that does the same thing to other store clerks and store personel and service workers. If you talked to your barber the way you talked to me, man that would have been your last haircut! Have a nice day, service people and store clerks, waitresses and call centre folks! —Counter Culture

That’s why I don’t work with the public, OB.
One more reason to shop online……help put these retail staff out of a job. 🙂
even a talented salesperson only succeeds about 10 percent of the time. If most of the customers aren’t listening to you, that is normal.
no o.p., you need a head doctor.and also a big fat fuck you, for wasting our valuable time here, with this inane chatter.
Try funeral directing – a much better calling for you than retail.
OP, you need to find a new line of work. You’ll have a bleeding ulcer by the time you’re forty assuming you’re in your twenties. You are too thin-skinned for this job. People have in mind what they want and they ask for your imput. If your imput contradicts their notion, they will probably disregard your suggestion and go with their original idea. Don’t take it personally.
worked retail briefly..how some of these peeps function is beyond my scope
I worked a retail job for like a month while I was studying.. I don’t know how people do it..
It’s not so bad when you’re doing it as a hobby, rather than for a living. Having an affinity for the product is a big help and working for an independently owned business that allows for personality quirks makes all the difference.

imput? oo, that one hurts…..
Ivan, Is that where you keep your drug and porn stash?
or is it your secret tunnel to citadel hill?
Obviously not working at Grace Brothers.
Thank you Baziwog, for next year’s Halloween costume ideas.

Either Mr. Humphries (“I’m Sebastien, and I’m free”) or Julian Arsemange.
No Zedman, that’s the sweatshop where we keep the illegal immigrant child laborers at work making non-locally sourced land mines.

ah… their tiny fingers do come in handy for the tedious work…

Ivan! I found a hidden doorknob behind some fake books at the shop… is it just for show? I was too afraid to investigate further.
I worked retail for most of my teen years. It’s something I will never do again. I would get the worst stomach pains working at those places. And it’s not just the customers, it’s the terrible employees I had to supervise. Some people are so god damn stupid, I have no idea how they keep jobs. The helpless idiots are usually older people I think the management just feels sorry for. You know, those lifers that are doing a job that 16-year-olds on their first day do better. And they always have such horrible attitude toward customers. They’ll be so rude to them! Like, you can’t do that even if the customer is being rude. Well thanks management, then I have to fix their moronic mistakes while trying to a billion of my own tasks (with a smile, don’t forget to smile!!!!~!!!!!)! I’m getting all worked up just thinking of it. Bleh.
…and you can pay them in Twizzlers and Hello Kitty T-shirts. It’s all about the bottom line, folks >: )
Wellllllllll Mel. I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you >: 0.

if it weren’t for morons who never read anything, your job would be done by a robot and then you’d be bitching about how you’re out of a job.
Yes OP. Retail customers are stupid because they don’t prepare. But tell me this.. when you were in high school or the first year or two of university/college if you made it that far, did anyone ever say to you “Prepare for the future by working now or you’ll be working a shitty retail job that you’ll hate?” And did you listen?
now i’m not assuming you didn’t. But if you DID maybe it’s time to put that preparation to the test and getting yourself established in a career that YOU feel reflects your intellectual prowess.
because honey.. you ain’t cut out for retail, sales or customer service. But unless you do something about it, it’s the best you’re gonna do.
