To the lady driving the silver car out of the Ashburn golf club on Wednesday May 4 at about 7:30PM. I’m the cyclist on the Chain of Lakes trail that you stopped for. I didn’t go, we both got annoyed, and I called out to you that you had the right of way, but I guess you didn’t hear me. I finally rode up to your car, smiling and waving in an attempt to not seem threatening, and tried to talk to you, but you weren’t having it. So, on the outside chance that you might see this, I want to explain to you what happened there.
See, I had a yield sign, and you had no sign. That means I stop and you go. I get that you were trying to be nice, and I appreciate it. But when some drivers yield the right of way to vehicles that don’t legally have it, that leads to confusion which leads to accidents. So, on behalf of all responsible cyclists, please, just follow the rules. —Cyclist in Yellow

Just go, ya knob! FFS!
but but but …..doesn’t the needs of the few out weigh the needs of the many?
I see this too many times, people trying to be “courteous” who wind up causing or almost causing accidents. Obey the rules of the road.
People that are nice like that are putting the cyclist at risk of getting squashed by other drivers not on the same page as the nice person.
The best are when some shithead stops to let someone turn in front of them…on a multiple lane stretch of road. Don’t do this, people.
Too many ignorant, clueless, motorists out there. OBEY THE LAWS OF THE LAND PEOPLE!!!!!!
Right!!!
I’ve been that woman in the car and done this, and it is more about fear, than being nice. I’ve witnessed way too many cyclists that don’t get it, and in the end, the person in the car wins in terms of who dies and who lives. I’ll air on the side of caution and stop, thanks. #don’twantyouasahoodornament 🙂

We have the dumbest drivers I’ve encountered!
The laws are even more stupid!
It is true. We have the worst drivers here in all of Canada. I never knew how bad it was until I started driving for a living. I just don’t know why this city’s police force does not crack down on people who break the laws when it comes to drivers. On second thought I do know, the police do the same fucking things that all the bad drivers do. Stupidest run city in the country.
