I was on my way to work in the afternoon waiting at a crosswalk that requires drivers to stop and of course no one was. As if that wasn’t bad enough some idiot comes flying down the sidewalk at me on a bicycle so I move out the way quickly dodging his idiocy and moving closer to the road. As I do this some fucking idiot in a truck slows down and honks and his passenger sticks his head out and gives me a death stare and says “Watch it bud!”. Like what the fuck I moved a foot closer to the road. If you were going any slower I would of punched you in the face, dick. —Just Wanna Cross a Road

If you were at a “crosswalk” like you said I am sure cars would stop for you if they notice a sign. Were not all idiots…

2 people hit in crosswalks by cars yesterday in Halisux.
They are reportedly both going to live a bit longer. At least long enough to attempt another road crossing.
No report on how badly they damaged the cars !
I know its a real piss off to many people. I realise that cars are suppose to stop, there’s right of way laws etc. etc. etc. etc.
But please, can someone explain to me what has happened to common sense & peoples sense of self preservation ?

The answer dear reader, is almost none, & if the vehicle is large enough, you won’t even shake any of the dirt on it loose ! The worse you’ll do to it is get a little blood & hair left on a sharp corner.

There is a crosswalk on Queen at Clyde and I advise absolutely everyone who comes in contact to it to stay the fuck out of it and just jaywalk. It’s seriously the worst crosswalk ever. Nobody ever stops because there are cars parked on either side so you have to stand in the middle of the road for anyone to even notice you to begin with and most times they don’t, even if you’re halfway through and there is a car stopped going the other direction, they speed through it and likely have no idea what’s happening. I have seen peds just walk out into it, head down and almost get creamed and they have no clue either!

That was probably me on the bike on the sidewalk…like you, I don’t want to get hit by a car, and I’m more skilled on a bike than most people are on their feet (not that I expect you to know that at that moment).
