Just because you gave him some material possession that he might care about for a week or so doesn’t mean anything. Not only did he tell me that he loves me lastnight, but I also gave him something that you never ever will again. 3 times (and once this morning). I will not compete, I don’t need to, but it doesn’t matter anyway because I win.

He shouldn’t have accepted the gift since it’s pretty obvious that it wasn’t a gift, but rather a ploy to get him back. If he accepted it, maybe she’s already given him the gift that keeps on giving.
