Let’s give ’em their own lane. There needs to be some right-of-way. Multiple times I have gotten off the bus that was stuck on North and busted my ass to get to work in the sun and still been late. Our bus system frustrates me, I want my $2.50 back. —SweatyPissedNLate

Betcha when you take a loonie out of your pocket, Queen Elizabeth blinks from the light. It’s $2.50, ffs.
Good luck with that. If you’re always late, take an earlier bus.
Is the bitch about the sun, the bus, the bus fare, walking, North street or sweaty asses? I am so confused!!
You work in the sun? Talk about hot times in the city, or municipality in this area these days.
Taking an earlier bus is only an option if its one of the main routes like the 1 or 10. If your’re on one of the other routes it can mean leaving 1.5 hours earlier which may not be an option if you need to be at work for 8:00 a.m.
“…give’em their own lane…right-of-way”
North St. only has one lane/direction.
Give it to the buses and where will the bikes go…?
Wth? I seem to remember posting a relatively benign comment about Charlie brown. Did I hurt his feelings? If so, I will write this apology…maybe it will deleted too.
@ dartguy.
You can’t work “in” the Sun. But you can work “on” the Sun, Silly Billy. But the commute is a Bitch.
Give them their own lane. That would be great if we had the infrastructure. The bus lane they do have at the bottom of Magazine hill coming in to Burnside is great in the summer but come the winter it is non existent because they never plow it clear of snow. And buses are supposed to get the right of way when pulling out of bus stops, but we all know how well that is working in this stupid ass backward city.
Bus driver’s are too ‘halifax’ for one thing…god forbid you are on a bus on the Bedford Hwy, they just wait for a car to let them in, even though cars HAVE to give them the right away. Send our drivers to TO or Vancouver for some bus driving lessons….signal then pull out fast, and let the car drivers slam on their breaks. And before you complain, when I am driving and see a bus parked ahead, I look for the signal, if it’s flashing I slow and let them in. No excuse. Same as approaching a crosswalk and saying ‘I didn’t have time to stop’….as a driver you have to look ahead, at buses stopped and crosswalks.
