Yes, I finally said it: I really don’t like Ellen Page! She’s annoying and not nearly as funny or cool as most people say she is. Really overrated, and those quirky little sayings she says aren’t that unique or clever or funny either… especially in Juno, FUCK she was annoying in that movie!

I know, I know: she has waaay more talent than I do. Fair enough, I don’t disagree there. Well, I’m not making millions of dollars acting like Phoebe from ‘Friends’ and saying annoying, quirky things that for whatever reason a lot of people think are unique and clever and funny. Ooohhh that is so totally wicked awesome cool! That rocks my socks! Hah hah hah.

I know, I know: if I don’t like her, I don’t have to watch any movies with her. That’s the plan! Problem solved.

I know, I know: I’m just jealous of her success, right? Maybe I wish I had the money she does, but not from the lame ways she’s made it.

I know, I know… well, I know there will probably be a million more criticisms of me because I dared to criticized the oh so high and mighty Goddess Ellen Page. How dare I not fall in line with everyone else and pretend I like her!

Face it people: she’s fucking lame, NOT cute or clever or funny, and… ‘Friends’ was cancelled about, like, five years ago. That’s sooooo totally radical, it rocks my socks! Ohh hah hah fucking hah, sooo clever! Say it again because it’s so so sooo clever and unique and funny I just can’t get enough. Wow, what an individual she is.

And she was a real bitch in Hard Candy too. That is all. I guess I have to go into hiding now.

  1. Um, I’m pretty sure she was saying the lines that were written for her. Same with Hard Candy. I don’t know her but assume all people are nice until I meet them and are proven otherwise. Or whatever they say inFrank? PBR!

  2. I so fucking agree with you. I don’t know who is more annoying tho – Ellen or her rabid fans!!! I just found out she lives in my neighbourhood and i’m tempted to go ask for my money back from “Juno” which I saw before all the hype. way too fucking much hype! An Oscar?seriously!?!? “Honest to blog” that movie will not stand the test of time like ,say, John Hughes movies.

  3. as someone who knew her ( not well, but saw her frequently) i got tired of hearing her brag about her filming schedule for TPB, she was in like 3 episodes and she delivered her lines like a talking brick wall. i find her so awkward, and not in the cute way. every time she talks, im aware that im listening to her regurgitate a script. a poorly written one. i didnt know her well enough to say whether or not she is a nice person, i ahve no doubt that she is just as nice as people like to believe, however, i too find her annoying and refuse to drop her name in conversation as so many others do. yes, she is from halifax so i will support her in the face of outsiders, but i know tons of talented, nice people from halifax who arent famous but deserve it just as much. why is it that we always get one star in every department? sidney crosby, sarah mclaughlin, and Ellen Page. if you are in the hockey, singing, or acting industry you’ll always be runner up to them, no matter how good you are.

  4. OMG Finally. Someone else agrees with me. She’s the most annoying person i saw on TV. 5 Mins into Juno on the plane and i turned the Channel. The movie is ridiculous, she’s not funny and she can can’t act. She only plays who she is in real life. There’s absolutely no acting involved. AS you said, like Phoebe or Rachel on friends. Jennifer Aniston does only one character in everything she’s involved in. ELLEN PAGE SUCK. Also, an Oscar? Who the hell did she sleep with to get even anywhere near being nominated for a crappy ass movie that start a talentless actress? Also to the OP, yes you do have more talent than she does, not necessarily in acting, could be in something she’ll never be capable of doing.

  5. My name is Vania and I hate Ellen’s character by my namesake. Her face is so punchable because she has no range as an actress. Raised in her house, you’d think even with her horrible dad Vanya would exhibit some character development in her expressions. I wish Hollywood would stop forcing us to love actors just because they normalize a movement. I don’t watch super hero shows because someone’s straight or gay, saves the whales, or EATS a whale. I watch them because they’re entertaining. And Ellen Page is about as entertaining as waiting for AAA roadside assistance.
