I love you Halifax and miss you terribly.
I miss the cute houses and streets, the bright colours, big trees and the smell of the ocean.
I miss blustery, stormy days and all my favorite shops. Fred’s for cupcakes, Biscuit for cloths, The Shoe Shop, Antiques stores on Agricola, croissants at Julien’s… motor bike rides down the coast and surfing, stopping in at Mahone Bay for treats.
I love that people take it easy and are gracious and warm. I love you Halifax (especially the North End). —Take me home…

I love the panhandlers
and all the potholed streets.
Abandoned storefonts
and floating harbor treats.
I love the Smelvins
I love the Brips and Cloods.
Unionized crackwhores,
and anarchistic C.H.U.D.s.
I love the cold rain,
the fragrant ocean air.
Sclerotic Council,
and Zombie-tapeworm Mayor.
I love the HRM ,
and all the bullies therein.
Boom-Dee-Yada, Boom-Dee-Yada,
Boom-Dee-Yada, Boom-Dee-Yada.

Oh yeah. and in a slightly similar vein check out “The Hidden” from the late 80s. Kyle Mclachlan as an eccentric FBI agent pursuing a serial killer with a difference (and what a difference). And this predated Twin Peaks
