I love that someone had the compassion and thoughtfulness to turn the water in the Commons fountain pink. Pink brings a deep awareness to all who encounter it now. We have all been affected by cancer and need be reminded of the threat it posses to everyone. I have deep respect for the tough and manly football players who wear pink with their uniform in order to support such a worth while cause. I now have more respect for the city as well. As a cancer survivor, I am not so sure that “We have all been affected by cancer and need be reminded of the threat it posses to everyone.” It is one of many diseases, and that is all. In fact, heart disease is the main killer of Canadians.

Dis-Ease exists in many people, in many forms. One from of disease isn’t ‘worse’ than another form, they are all similar in that they are the state of a body not At-Ease.

-Cerebral Palsy
-Dementia
-Stroke
Which one is ‘worse’? Well… none are. They are all forms of Dis-Ease.
