Headbang to it the next time you see it. That usually gets the volume down.
Maybe YOU could use some lessons in sign language, OP? You don’t think bitching here is going to make a difference do you? Communicate with each other, people! That’s what your tongue is really for!
You’re just plain ignorant, OP! If you don’t like listening to it, then get your fat ass off the bus. Have a great day! 🙂
Well, sometimes it *is* annoying when their music is so loud that you can hear it over your own ipod music.
I sat beside this woman once on the 52 and she kept blasting shaggy’s “Freaky Girl” on a loop on her discman from the bridge terminal to mumford and even when i jacked my ipod I could still hear it. That was pretty annoying.
Who uses a discman any more???
I just turn my music up louder!
Bitch please, I’ve seen people on the bus with WALKMANS and HEADPHONES!
I’d turn my music up louder, but I’m paranoid others can hear it and I don’t want to be the one on the bus who’s an asshole for listening to their music too loudly. I shouldn’t give a fuck, but hey I’m considerate to a fault most of the time.
OMG! Selina I see the same chick on the bus with a walkman ALL the time. It’s adorable.
Haha, I rock the walkman AND discman AND MP3 – depends on my day, and my mood.
But I have to agree with Kays comment – although I wont be so … agressive about it.
If you think their music is turned up too loud, tap them on the shoulder – ask politely if they would turn it down.
E.g. “Excuse me, could you turn your music down? Thanks.”
People go off about manners all the time, so-and-so didnt hold the door at the mall waahh, etc. etc. But manners can extend both ways – you can be mannerly by politely asking someone to do something to benefit you/the others around you (especially if your other opetion is to escalate the situation [read noise level]). Not to mention, sometimes ppl arent even aware of what theyre doing – especially concerning volume levels.
So… instead of everyone turning their music up louder – be nice – ask them to turn it down, hell – shoot me if Im wrong, but you could even try to strike up a conversation with them!
Holy people, I know its a bitch forum – but why so negative?
I Have asked very nicely many times for individuals to turn down their music. Result, swearing at me or telling me they have a right to play thier music any way they want. Some even play thier ipods with a speaker system instead of using headphones. Consideration for others seems to be a lost art in todays society.
