Maybe you suck at playing guitar and no one wants to hear you jam. So what you have a vagina…are you saying can’t find any other vaginas with instruments to play with?
Shut up. I play guitar and various other instruments and I’m a girl, yet I have no problem finding people to jam with…(not) surprisingly, they’re usually guys too.You either suck or aren’t looking hard enough.

RYCO I do think you raise a valid point though… Probably a lot of guitar playing girls that dont get taken seriously…. The reason for that me be that like chefs, most of the best known guitar players are men… But for anybody who thinks that girls don’t know how to rock, Ann & Nancy Wilson come to mind, playing Led Zepp’s “Battle of Evermore” on mandolin and guitar… Wow… among the very few gals that have made it (deservingly) through the glass ceiling of rock… Keep at it RYCO… Go to bar-jams and step up… Word of mouth is always good, but advertise for musicians here in the coast if you haven’t already… Join a group guitar lesson and meet up with other players who like you want to expand your horizons… If you really want to play, you just need to be the best you can be and get out there… Oh yeah and write your own tunes..
There seems to be 2 “Jenn’s” posting here now…I do NOT play BUT come from a very musical background and am surrounded by musicians DAILY and we never or have ever heard or anyone turning a “chick” down just becasue she’s a “chick” I have 2 17 year old boys in my house who BOTH are in a band and they would LOVE to have a “chick” on guitar!!

i dont think it is the fact that you are a girl there are tones of places to go and play gigs if you are a female, as for not being abel to find any one to jam with it could be many thingsA)maybe you are not trying hard enouph or putting yourself out there to find people to jam with.B)maybe you only want to play with other femalesC)depends on the type of music your looking ford) maybe your not goodwho knows
Of all the words used to describe the vulva, va jay jay. That word is so stupid. Whoever came up with the word needs to be slapped on the va jay jay.
