Why is it when you tell people, “I’m sorry, we can’t help you” and direct them to the appropriate place they do this snide laugh and reply “Well what do you do here?”

FML – I receive calls of this nature ALL the time. I wondered why the entire world thought my office line was the switchboard/reception/security/front-line whatever! I looked at our listing in the phonebook (what dat?) and the listing below the one for the main line was my office extension……..so, whenever someone calls and they are put on hold – they hang up and CALL me! Can I help them? Nope – do care? Nope…….often times I am working from home (naked) and these calls come through……sheeesh, maybe I will put them on face-time and smack the camera with my manhood.
I know, I gave up giving a fuck awhile ago. I can’t help you. It’s not my fault. Your problem is not my problem or the problem of any of my friends or immediate family, please fuck off. I feel for you, I do, I just don’t care…
Sounds like a conversation between a homeless panhandler and an employed, tax-paying citizen. Truly what are those homeless doing here other than leeching off society. Time to clean the streets and ship them off to Cape Breton where they would fit in.

I love it when someone comes to see me, I tell them I’m not the appropriate person or office to contact and they keep going on about their problem like I”ll suddenly morph into the person/office they’re looking for and help them so they don’t have to actually walk their arses up a flight of stairs to get the appropriate person.
What I also love is when they do this to me because the person in the appropriate office isn’t available OMG RIGHT THEN AND THERE… so they figure I can somehow do something for them or make that person magically available because OMG DO I KNOW WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEIR PROBLEM IS? (which is generally a problem of their own stupidity/laziness of which 345345345345 other people have at any given moment).
Do you guys know how many dumb entitled people there are out there who think each and every rule should be bent just for them?
The best is when you tell them you can’t help them and tell them who can and they just won’t leave and keep asking the same thing over and over… or can’t get a hold of anyone there or they were unsatisfied with the person they dealt with and demand I help them and again won’t LEAVE (they just keep blathering on and on like I should somehow give a shit)…. and then get ultra pissy and huffy when I tell them I can’t and they’ll have to contact whomever does.
