First off, this is a minor bitch so no-one flip their toast on me for bringing it up. The Coast likes to hear about these things so I’m bringing it to them.
I’m walking home yesterday and decide to take a slightly alternate route. I cross @ Spring and South to walk along Victoria Park instead of the huge hole in the ground. There’s a plaque that’s admittedly getting a little beat up and for once I decide to read it. It says Vic Park is bounded by Spring Garden, South, University, and Tower Road….
Hey Halifax, if you’re going to change the names of streets, you have to update the touristy places that refer to them! The Season is rapidly approaching and I’d rather tourists not think we don’t even know the streets in our own city…c’mon, it’s been changed to MArtello for almost a year now.

Actually SAJ the park is bounded by Spring Garden Rd, South Park St, University Ave and Martello St. The portion of what was Tower Rd (by Smitty’s/All Saint’s Cathedral) was changed to Martello St on Oct 15 2007. So…you are WRONG!!!
Why dont you dress up like a bum and sell maps on spring garden road, little extra cash so you get out on the town and find a real bitch to post!

I went out there and the only plaque I could find— a blue board facing South Park– had the correct streets listed on it.
Is there another plaque?
