I’ll take this opportunity to say thank you HRM for fucking my over again. There are limited parking spots on the streets around the Barrington Dockyard; you are so concerned about dollar signs you don’t understand that you have to have 13 years in the military to park in the lot. I have received 4 new parking tickets because you keep throwing up those 2hr parking signs. All I have to say is you suck, stop scratching for money, respect the people. —Pissed Off Sailor

Welcome to the real world.
Uh — it’s like that at Stad too. It’s all based on seniority, my friend.
And that’s not limited to military, either. Civ DND staff have to work there for a certain amount of time before they get parking on base. that’s just the way it goes when you have a very limited amount of parking space for the people who work there. I worked with people who had to park a 15 minute walk away because of the parking regulations, and that’s just the way things go at Stad and the dockyard.
Take the bus.
Is the navy hiring those illiterate tards still? Learn to read.
Even if you get a parking ticket every now and then you’re probably still ahead of the guy working downtown who pays big bucks to park every month.
Get over yourself. Take the fucking bus, carpool, or ride a scooter. There is no seniority requirement for scooters and motorcycles at the dockyards.
Yeah, spoiler alert: being in the military doesn’t make your vehicle exempt from parking regulations.
